I know they were just going for Jessica from Murder She Wrote but she has much stronger Hyacinth Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances vibe!!!

You are correct. But Hyacinth is MUCH more lovable than this character was. I don't know, she just seemed like an obnoxious busybody to me. At least Hyacinth usually means well. "Richard, MIND the pedestrian!"

I remember that show! When I didn’t have cable one year all my tv would pick up was PBS and BBC. I watched Keeping Up Appearances, and another one that was staged in a men and women’s British clothier- the skits and characters were hysterical. I can’t remember the name of the show but it was old I think 70s or even late 60s.

Ive never heard of this show or seen it till today!! All because I was looking for a Murder, She Wrote podcast 😂.... found Murder, he wrote instead! I'm so glad I did! ❤😂
I have been watching hunter on u for weeks from season 1 till season 4 episode 21 I use to whatch it on TV but haven't seen all of them I'm up to about 80 out of 153 episode s in all
Super acting & excellent plot !!!!
The old model merc was a true classic !!!! Ephraim Z was a great actor !!!! And his daughter Stefanie Z was beautiful !!!!
I enjoyed this episode! Suspenseful and the ending was heartwarming and heartbreaking, too.
The merc it looked awesome and the handling in rain was perfect
Marge Redmond was I believe also in The Flying Nun, which starred Sally Field in the lead role...! 😉👍
Don't remember seeing this on TV, but, with the 'Murder She Wrote' reference, I'm guessing that this will be the most hilarious episode of 'Hunter'
Wow! Will always remember this episode. Dee Dee stole the show for me again like she usually does. She is drop-dead gorgeous and so attractive I just can't seem to get over her . . . but I'll keep watching and trying lol
After such low quality for so long, finally a well written episode.
Didi and Rick should hold off for awhile and let the four siblings continue to work as responsible human beings as Clarence's plan worked perfectly.
Excellent Episode, Acting, Ending.

The ending was excellent because the four did not kill Clarence. It was a relief.
The actor that portrayed Byron was also in Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayzee...!

The brake lights are activated by an electrical switch when the brake pedal is pressed. They will light up even if there is no brake fluid to stop the car.
Wow I love this show thank you so much
Remind me all my childhood. ♥
Airdate: Saturday, April 30, 1988.
At the start when he is driving along and can't slow down due to his brakes being cut, when they show the car from behind you can see the brakes lights working fine.
What ever happened to the *good* names people used to have, like "Séamus"? Interestingly enough, the name spelled as "Shamus" means "private investigator".
Great show
I liked the Show better when it was realistic, street people, realistic crimes and suspects. Now it's Love stories of Hunter and Dee Dee, or ghostly Halloween spooks.
they are contaminating the crime scene!!
wait a minute...who cut the brake line.....plot hole. lol

Clarence. He knew a berm from construction would stop the car. Still, he took a chance if not his first plan for suicide

@@rogerscottcathey Yeah but the way they portrayed him driving made it appear that he was surprised about it, and with no one else in the car that was unnecessary. They probably should have not had that scene at all, or showed it without him while he was in the car.

@@williammitchell4417That's rather xenophobic of you...! Believe it or not, many of the safety features on modern cars; were formulated by German manufacturers, especially Mercedes-Benz. The side impact protection system that Volvo is so proud of, was an innovation from Mercedes-Benz; but they made it copyright-free, so others could enjoy the benefits of making their own vehicles safer...! 😉👍

Why do you never see properties with lower numbers in American dramas; because surely they must exist...! My highest house number has been the one where I live currently... and that is still only #135...! 🧐🤔🤯
Hasn't the actress that portrayed the niece, also been a prosecution lawyer in previous episodes...?? 🤔🧐
Stephanie Kramer is so pretty and I love her clothes
Was this episode a dig at the tv show Murder She Wrote?
Cant play this episode

Well that was joke . By time they grt to money thwy will owe so many people.
43:11 TOLDJA!! And isn't that Angela Lansbury lookalike SO obnoxious???? She's lucky they don't charge her with obstruction of justice for all her lying shenanigans.
That Angela Lansbury clone was so obnoxious, why introduce a character like her?
Stepfanie Kramer looked beautiful here.
I’m not thinking dirty but…the bulge in Hunter’s front right pocket? I thought maybe wallet, but you can see that’s in his back left pocket. Hmm what?
I'm half way through I think the writer did him in

It was convenient how she showed up at the library door with flowers (for his grave no doubt) just after he was killed. This is a neat episode.. like a twisted cocktail mixed with Christi, Hitchcock, and Holmes.

Possibly even a Standard. Although a Mark II is more likely. As far as why: the Standard and later Mark variants had a stationary round barrel, vs the floating barrels of other makes/models which made it more viable for the heavy supressors of the time. The target versions also had a non-tapered barrel which makes it very easy to turn down and thread for a suppressor.

Who do you think he is?? KITT??
40:48 Okay, almost to the end, and my current theory is that this is one of those screwy episodes where nobody killed him. I think he found out he was going to die and he wanted to shaft all those ungrateful possible inheritors out of the estate, so he found some elaborate way to kill himself with this gun that he stole from his niece somehow. "Murder He Wrote" I believe refers to the "murderee" as the "writer", and not one of the other "writers" in the show, male or otherwise. We shall see. It's only a few more minutes. This is one of the most fun moments in every single Hunter episode, because some wild turn of events always occurs in the last several minutes. 🙂

The episodes aren't short. The apparently short time of 48 minutes allows for the insertion of four three minute advertising breaks in the one hour programme, as always used to happen.
