Great video the point is Nobody can ever tell the value of a banknote until a particular person comes ready to pay the price. It sometimes becomes more hassle than good profit

funny in vancouver i used an atm and got 20X20 dollar notes and 3 of them were old paper notes from 2004 not the 2010 one

Hi Peter,I have seen your this vdo, and this vdo is so good for me, I was and am hunting $5,$10,$50 and $100 notes from very long time. I never thought of $20hunting, your this vdo woke me and from the last one month I had seven set of 1st and last prefix. Today my question is that Are the DB notes good to keep or not. As DB is the first prefix of the second series of the year?

missing the old $5,$10 notes, grew up with them and so hard to see them disappear

Because I live in a Rural Area. Those notes will not make it for a while. Still have the first new 5 dollar note that I ever got.

With the old paper notes the replacement note would have the same serial number but they would add a star to the prefix. All new polymer notes just get destroyed but not replaced with the same number.

@@PJsCoinCapers Hi PJ. Just found your channel on YT, great info yet your reply regarding star notes is not quiet true. Star notes ran a separate prefix series mainly starting with Z. The serial was 5 digits long starting at 00001 ending with the star. Only confirmed main printing errors were replaced with accounting precision of the star notes. Cheers.

The first 2 numbers are the year the note was produced.

Sorry to type this... but it's true, SO lucky are we Westerners that one can toss $20 notes aside looking at numbers while others starve & know that just one of those notes could feed their whole family for a week. (no offence to the channel, just been watching a few documentaries lately)

Wouldn't destroying the old notes make them all alot more rare?

yes that's why we need to take the opportunity to find them before they are gone.

There is no way money makers mess up. Unless deliberately Mandela effected

The reason the old fifty is still kicking around is because of the spelling mistake in the micro printing. The new fifty is being pulled out of circulation. I haven't seen a new fifty for a while now
