I prefer more natural off roading like going around the closed bridge in Plaster City. This place is a great meet spot for camping since it's not in the middle of nowhere like Plaster City. This place is less then 1 hour past 6 Flags Magic Mountain

I love driving. Hopefully Burden is gone in 2024 so it's more affordable

John i didn’t realize how far away hungry valley was from SD. Check out split mountain rd and fish creek you can take the van through the canyons just air down and you’ll be fine. Or just take the tracker.plenty of cool spots to camp. Although if you can go on a week day you’ll miss the crowds. It starting to be desert season so the weekends might be busy

This is my go to spot. Near Ocotillo. It's pretty hidden never busy. I think I'll stick to my mini bike and van in Hungry Valley and take the Tracker to the desert. Hungry Valley is a 250 mile drive for me. Ocotillo Area around 120ish. I know my mileage towing is going to be about 10 mpg lol kzread.info/dash/bejne/qaCNl7xrXcbOe6Q.html

This is when I was a Hungry Valley noob still. Gaining confidence in my van! Ox Locker + Airdown it's going to be as good as a lifted 2wd Van can be!

It will get many more once the bigger tires,re-gear and locker are in. I know it has the clearance for dips now, I just need better traction on sand/soft dirt.
