firstly rachel is fantastic in every sense of the word but lucy noticing coriolanus is my favorite moment in the whole movie

2:26 so obsessed with this scene, I forget that this is President Snow in his younger days, I just feel so happy about this scene and how happy they both seem seeing each other again, but then I remember they're doomed from the start because Snow is a man spiraling into his mad obsession for power and glory.

Say what you want about Rachel Zeglar but she was great in this movie Edit: Thanks for 200+ likes Edit 2: 300 likes tysm if we get to 350 I'll touch some grass 👀

I know Snow was somewhat possessive of Lucy and ultimately that ruined their relationship. But in this case his actions were justified as Lucy was being attacked by her drunk ex boyfriend. Corlo could clearly see Lucy wants nothing to do with Billy and wants him to leave her alone. When he doesn't Corlo jumps to her defense and beats the s*it out of him. Possessiveness not withstanding, Billy had that coming.

I love it that how you can clearly see how stunned and then how happy she gets when she sees him.

I found it really interesting how the hunger games were so much more basic in this film... Like she just goes bacl to her old life and that's thay

That would explain where the hanging tree song came from. It came from Lucy Gray’s. Then once she disappeared into the woods and later on was passed on to the future generation. Katniss.

It’s so cute how coryo seems so happy to see Lucy gray and Vice versa. It’s just such a cute scene because it’s one of the very few times that coryo is happy and actually enjoying himself, and not worrying about something. Plus the fact that he basically had tears in his eyes made me cry too. And this version is just SO good!!! I just have a special place in my heart for folk music like this

You can see the woman in the blue outfit is doing some very tall and wide stomping moves at 2:47-2:50 and I don’t know why but I just love it 🤩

This one of my favourite songs she sang and snow was like get your hands of her.

The way I see it the movies show what everyone around him saw. It’s their perspective, the loyal son and cousin, the best student, the good friend, the lover. Then you read the book and you get access to how much of that is faked. Honestly, it contributes to me understanding how he gained power.

Love love love her chest voice. Her head voice is pretty and reaaally well executed, don’t get me wrong, but it just doesn’t sound quite as rich? But that’s p much the case for everyone

What kind of dancing is this? Where can I learn this heavy foot stomping dance style? I heard it’s Appalachian music based on southern and British isles music. But the foot stomp dancing looks way different than actual Appalachian foot dancing (it looks more like tap dancing while this is more heavy stomping). Love the country/folk dance feel to this scene 😄
