We live in Colorado. I received an email when my ballot was sent, and after I completed it and dropped it in the ballot box, I got another one saying it had been received . Our system works fine. Whoever is responsible for this debacle in Michigan needs to be charged.

Hundreds of votes wouldn't swing the election. Trump lost by a LOT in Michigan. The closest state between Biden and Trump was Georgia - and Trump lost that one by more than 11,000 votes - then he tried to get the governor to stuff the ballot box there for him.

I'm a democrat and I agree with you. As long as the state provide every voter with valid photo ID for free.

The real question is were these filled out ballots? If so, will they be counted? Seems relevant considering the lady lost the clerk position by 19 votes.. 🤔 And if they are filled out, someone needs to be held accountable! If they are blank.. That’s an entirely different matter that seriously needs investigation as well..

Paper ballots in person. Anything else can be manipulated.

Its not just about lost ballets but ballet harvesting has become an issue. I vote by mail but I would reconsider voting with an ID voting in person. I have heard about mail bags full of ballots lost and found, when Bush Sr ran for president, who was a director for the CIA and like his father was in a secret society- Skull and Bones. I have lost my trust in our Banana Republic voting system. There is just too much corruption today, and who knows how far back it goes.

They didn't lose anything if your vote is the way they want it then they count it if it isn't the way they want it they stick it in some storage unit until they can through it away.

So she says she was asked by a township to store some files in her storage shed. And not a single red flag goes up in your mind! Really tough pill to swallow. Jail time will be a great lesson for future times when she fails to remember it's probably not a good idea to keep public documents from the public. Or any others.

If you were conducting an election, you would have to get the ballots printed well before the election, right? And you wouldn't want to maybe run out of ballots, so you'd print more than you probably would end up using. And you would have to store them somewhere secure, right? And after the election, when the votes had been counted and the election certified, there would probably be leftover, blank ballots somewhere, right? If somebody had found out that a bunch of blank ballots had been destroyed, that would be suspicious. If nobody had any idea what happened to the blank ballots, that, too, would set of the conspiracy theorists. Well, the ballots were found and accounted for, and if they are still blank there's no problem. Of course, if the ballots were blank, it's not a newsworthy story and all the clueless losers who want to see election officials prosecuted for imaginary crimes wouldn't have got their dose of imaginary conspiracy fuel.

I cannot remember, but about 80% of them were no good because people were issued new ballots, _and they voted!_ The other ones were no good for some other reason. You're beyond help. :-p

I agree, they are depriving citizens of the right to vote and each hidden ballot should be a civil right violation with heavy fines and prison time.

All voting must be done at voting booth machines and must have a valid drivers license. No more mail in ballots

There is no evidence of fraud in the video. It is not clear when the ballots were placed in the storage unit. Before they wee counted or after they were counted?

Gotta disagree with your wording there. Driver's license shouldn't be the only valid form of identification. Any government-issue identification with picture, name, and enough additional information to uniquely identify the person should suffice. Not everyone drives.

I’ve already voted 6 times for the 2024 elections, and I’m going to keep voting!

To many stories like this for people not to have been investigated.

It’s time to leave the computer out of the voting process and hand count them the old fashioned way by a democrat and a republican at the same time. No more closed door counting !

Here in Ga, we vote by computer and get a paper doc that we lok at and sign.. When a recount is called, they count the docs that we signed.. It all matched up in 2020..

Bad conclusion. Were these ballots never set to voters? Or were they returned ballots never counted? Or were they returned ballots that had been properly counted. The video doesn't say.

@@DanOKC There is absolutely no evidence anywhere that absentee ballots are subject to significant fraud. Colorado does 100% mail ballots with no problems. This video does indicate mis-handling that should not have occurred, but it does not indicate any fraud.

It's not about absentee or in-person voting, it IS about the officials running the local elections. When you have absentee ballots that were never folded and mailed come in and get counted, the people running the elections are getting the results that they wanted to get. When you have corrupt people running the elections, you will get the results that they want, NOT what we voted for. They always say that they want free and fair elections, yet they lock out observers, cover the windows with paper and block any group wanting to verify the results.

And that is what happened in Brazil .. millions of people literally paid to vote Lula (actually totally legal loophole in Brazil), campaign messages from Bolsonoro blocked from playing in whole regions, 2 million+ ballots just thrown in the trash not counted, not mention allowing a convicted criminal out of jail to run for election. Of course Lula was backed by Biden. Now we are in country that attempts to jail their top political rivals, dissenting journalists..

I disagree. As we grow older we accept we aren't able to do certain things. I played football when I was 40 and it nearly killed me. My point being if you're 70 and able to go vote that's great. If you're 70 and not able to go then it should be accepted that you just can't vote as you need to show up in person. The Constitution requires in-person voting except for the disabled as well as soldiers and other government personnel stationed abroad. Mail-in elections are unconstitional....unless some can come up with a conveniently-timed worldwide pandemic to force a "medical emergency" that can be used to bypass the Constitution. Surely no one would do that, would they? At any rate the "Corona emergency declaration" has expired, and with it, mail-in elections are back tob eing illegal and unconstitutional. Democrats will no doubt keep doing it anyway in spite of the Constitution.

jarhead ... I agree, but we both can forget it, this is all going to be forgotten history. Just another example of our "American-style democracy" at work. Just think what we have to look forward to with the 2024 elections! The outcome of that election is already being planned out by the strategists who know just which precincts they have to rig the vote for their candidate to win. They were successful before, our guess is they'll do a repeat using the same tricks as last time.

The answers to your questions, in order are, Republicans, no and no. Another good reason to have to vote in person, with ID, on election day. Every registered voter should have to do this, unless they are active military. Either schedule your life around voting on election day or you just miss out. If you are sick or in the hospital, too bad, you missed out.

@@danpowell3953 It should be a rare exception. Thoroughly documented. Instead, what we have is massive, blind mailings with no oversight which leads to massive errors. That's a small town. I don't know the actual population, but it seems like 289 would be a significant percentage. Plus that one lady lost by 19 votes. Apparently, other articles (I have no idea which) give some more information about them being damaged/spoiled, and these were never sent out. Were they replaced or did someone just say "Meh, voting doesn't matter THAT much." and didn't send replacements?

According to a Michigan State Police report, the ballots were found last August inside a storage locker owned by the Deputy Township Clerk. Most of the ballots were marked spoiled, meaning those voters were issued a new ballot since they did not receive one. feel like a fool now

We had a similar occurrence in a SF bay area city, where a large number of mail-in absentee ballots during the 2016 Democratic Primary were found in dumpsters. This confirmed to me the accusations I'd heard about that primary being rigged to prevent the person who really had the majority of popular votes from being the party's candidate in the General Election. I had been an absentee voter up to that point but became disgusted with the blatant corruption of our electoral system and never bothered to vote since. I also stopped donating money to the national party's fund raising machine and instead gave directly to the candidate of my choice.
