it is hard to loose a dog, best friend, family member. But I firmly believe that it is their wish that we remember them but to also give another one of their family a loving home.

My Whippet (Cash) passed away on 2 Nov this year. It has been more than a month and I haven't gotten over it. I would periodically cry. And I'm a grown man who served the army for 3 years. I would imagine the pain would be the same or worst.

My all time favourite pooch died naturally lying on the grass under a tree with a sunbeam shining on her. Even though we were all so sad it was also beautiful in a way, she will always be the number one. This clip was also beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. Our doggy friends are so special and its a relationship like no other.

this story makes me sob every time I come across it. today is the 3rd anniversary of my precious 1st greyhound getting her angel wings due to cancer. I am so glad that you are healing mark ,walnut will live on inside you forever more, he will always be a part of you. George and those other beautiful whippies will keep you moving forward and from time to time, I hope that sometimes in a dream or out of the corner of your eye walnut will pop by just to let you know that he's OK xxx

I have two old ladies. One looked old since she was 3y/o. Now that she's 15 she seems to be a small Buddah, or an ancent sage with her white muzzle. The other one looks ageless - with her wite fur and endless energy - she's also 15.

Thank you for doing this post. I am near the end with my dear Cassidy and was hoping to find something on your KZread channel to help me during this hard time. My Cassidy is at this date 17 3/4 years old. We got her at the Pound when she was 2 1/2. My silly girl.

So do dogs actually die naturally because, why do humans have to always put down dogs especially if just old age?

Sadly sometimes it’s the best decision, my dog was very old when he was in too much pain. When dogs get old it hurts to live

It's a sympathy act. Imagine being on your last legs, in pain daily, unable to move properly. There will come a point in your life where you'd be happy to drift off into a peaceful slumber and not undergo all of that pain. Euthanising animals allows us to give them a peaceful way to go without the pain. That being said, we should always ensure the animal is in pain or struggling before resorting to it.

Old age usually comes along with health problems. Sometimes those problems are more severe, affecting the quality of life. A dog should spend their last days as happy as possible and pass as peacefully as possible.

Dogs can’t talk to you and tell you they’re in pain, so most people get them euthanised instead of having them suffer
