I Like how you put a pic of... 2 aliens, probably a bar. I also like how u can use the same voice and still maintain the impression of two different characters.

Thanks. It's just a simple story format that works well with the narrators voice.

The first alien is completely correct. Just look at any of the Star Trek shows or movies. They blunder through space getting caught in the same three or four traps all season. Each day truly did dawn a new day, not one bit wiser or more sophisticated. They never really thought things out to find a way out of their stupid situation, the last way the escaped a super powerful space entity or Klingon or Romulan enemy wasn't even considered. Just some last minute, skin of their teeth hail Mary play to save the galaxy. It was only after multiple defeats by the Borg that they even considered developing better weapons or shields. Even then the Defiant, designed and built to fight the Borg, was totally unimpressive. Defeated in battle many times or just stolen several times because no one ever considered locking the damn door. The captains and officers were the worst. Allowing compassion and sentiment totally override what little common sense they might have had. Wandering birds and brute beasts seldom fall into the same trap twice, but Star Fleet captains keep falling into the same trap until their ship is destroyed and their crew killed. Distress call in the neutral zone? Always a Romulan or Klingon trap but they gotta step in it anyway. Captains have to be fighters, war makers, ambassadors are the peace makers and no one can be both. Its a tie between Picard and Janeway as to the worst. Picard, the coward with a heart of stupid, deserved every dressing down he received in his OWN DAMN SHOW. Its true, without Q's bromance with him, nudging him in the right direction or out and out protecting him when he was too damn deep in his own foolishness he wouldn't have survived the first season. Useless Janeway many years from home, with a crew that desperately wanted to go home, just tooling along, having to stop and stare at shiny things with dull uncomprehending eyes or to meddle in the affairs of aliens. She probably had no reason to go home to her empty apartment and now long dead cats. They should have tossed her ass out an airlock and put Paris or anyone else more interested in going home. Her one good idea was when they figured out to use the teleporters to beam some armor into the path on an incoming attack. I doubt she had any hand in it and took several episodes to convince her to try it. To her defending themselves might seem to aggressive. PATHETIC!

If the audience demanded higher class, deeper plots... Star Trek wizards? Either to state obvious like empaths or god like beings able to change fundamental laws of physics... Want to be a research a species without them knowing? Able to escape danger? Why they don't have a stealth fields? Instead Klingons with their lore should go for endurance, shield strength and brute weapon power... All of the universe is mind numbingly bad written. As for the trap with a rescue call. That's given. If your diplomatic stance is a protector...

At around 32 seconds, the caption says "retarded" when it should be "retorted". Nice wee story!

Yeah, the captions are auto generated, and most of the time, they're pretty good. I do so many that I don't check the captions as often as I should! Also, "traitor" should be trader. Big difference!

@@scifistories1977 In truth, it *IS* possible to be both trader AND traitor but the higher likelihood is that any given person (of whatever species) will be one OR the other. 😉
