Humanity's Pursuit of Absolute Infinity

Ойын-сауық

After a grueling week of work, I finally managed to finish what is likely my greatest video yet. I was originally planning to cover less but, as I kept explaining the insane notation, it grew to be gigantic, which is funny because of just how little I truly explain in this video.
It was all in pursuit of something beyond anyone that will ever exist - Absolute Infinity.

    By the way, the [1] separator is a fixed-point of (X) = ((X)1), which is the separator that allows us to enter the pentational arrays, so it must be inside a separator, not an array. Therefore, {10, 100[1]2} is invalid and meaningless, but {10, 100([1]1)2} is allowed.

I put in a lot of effort and I think the video is pretty good, so, I'm hoping for the chance that it still goes big. Unlike my other videos, the growth of this one, while slow, is still at least consistent, so, even if it stays so for another week, that'll be pretty solid.

    @@dannadx3840 The key difference for this video was that it had a wide appeal and a great thumbnail/title. A lot of my viewers come from browse features, so I expected this would be more popular with viewers rather than an asmr video - this was the crucial mistake, as it would be natural to assume that my videos would get recommended more towards people looking for specifically rain world content. Sadly, it is difficult for me to empathize with the usual viewer and while I do try by responding through comments or asking questions in the forms, I am still heavily biased since I am the creator. As for the steady growth, well spotted! My previous 2 notable videoa, that being One Spear Is Real and Tricks and Musics both had a great rise in viewership for the first day, but then flatlined to an almost comical level. For this video, it is very linear, which I will take. Ultimately, I obviously can't blame anyone for not clicking or consistently watching, as my goal is not to make consistent content, which is naturally why people wouldn't subscribe. Still, I hope that through brute force, I will keep finding people that can tune in to see what I'm up to simply because they know that whatever I make is at least worth checking out. Maybe I will one day find a style and direction that I can fully commit to, but that's currently not the case.

I always have pictured a cube with x by y by z eliments followed z+1 other cubes offset in the x,y,or z plane for representation. 5d adds the number of coloums , 6d adds the z axess, you know I have a cube of cubes and the process repeats. Large numbers are a special kind of mind-boggling horror. Once you went past the arrow notation, I quickly lost all frame of reference, and I have no idea how to even compare the larger functions. Are there any stories involving large numbers? Is there a video on the way people go that high?

  • @Deltexterity

    @Deltexterity

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Rock6Sixes i played a bit over a year ago, so it definitely wasn't result of new mechanics. i think it's just a matter of activity and optimization. if you don't play optimally, your cookie production will easily be thousands to millions of times lower than those who do. that is to say, using golden combo cookies to their full extent. passive play is pretty much impossible late game, and the only way to reasonably progress is to do combo's: waiting for a golden cookie to spawn, then doing a bunch of things to spawn more at the same time, like casting "force the hand of fate", selling wizard towers so you can do it again, buying more and using a sugar lump so you can repeat it and get 5 at once, and then if you're lucky you can get several building bonuses at once. a building bonus gives 10% extra cps for each of a building type you have, so if you have say 700 grandmas and you get a grandma bonus, that's 7000% more cps, or 70x more. if you get several at once, you're making bank. further more, while those bonuses only last for a few seconds, there are certain garden plants which can give you some amount of time worth of cookies instantly, like say, 30 minutes of cookie production, so if you harvest them during the boost, you can get years worth of your passive cps in seconds, and you could do this several times a day. another question to ask is, did he use rebirths? if you don't ever prestige, you'll never make it anywhere in the game. rebirthing resets your progress but gives you access to special permanent upgrades that last between rebirths, and can increase your cps tremendously. there's also legacy levels, you get more of them the more cookies you had earned when you rebirthed. i had 16 quadrillion legacy levels, meaning i earned 16 quadrillion% more cps as result of rebirths. basically, i think your dad not having a lot of cookies was just a skill issue lmao

  • @Rock6Sixes

    @Rock6Sixes

    I like how you start to ramble about this like how I ramble about the numbers - "obviously you do combos, but after is when you can sell the wizard towers, but if you then have 700 grandmas, now you're making some cookies" as for my dad, he definetly used rebirths and did combos, so, maybe he wasn't yet capped, maybe he was playing more passively than I thought and I also think he might have had 2 accounts, so idk, might be a skill issue but he's not a dum dum, he does play Kitten's Game as well.

    I mean you're still wrong because numbers don't just apply to objects. But I guess I can see where you are coming from. You're wrong but I can't quite explain how right now lol.

    @@Noah-ky9ct this would imply that an infinite amount of comments came before your comment was posted, which is an interesting idea considering my ability to post before anyone else. The idea of a comment could apply even beyond the space of youtube, in which case you could argue that the concept of this video, and the ability to comment on it, started before I even edited or wrote a script. Maybe that's an infinite amount of time, during which an infinite amount of comments could have theoretically been made, and then your comment came after all of them.
