It's the formula for gravitational force, and it most certainly applies to humans. It applies to everything that has mass, not just large bodies.

I count four strikes in here: right hand punch to stomach, reap backwards with your right foot, right kick to kidneys, and then a right handed downward punch to the stomach. Nothing says "I love you!" more than a four combo attack. (Oh, my kidneys! I got punched there once, way back in my highschool days whilst wearing a flak jacket. Though he was fooling around, I've never forgiven my buddy for that, even till this day.)

Pencak Silat is a new term created by Indons in 1948 While Malay's Silat is a term existed and a form of martial art practiced since the time of Champa (1 cent AD) , Langkasuka (2 cent AD) and Old Kedah (6th cent AD)

Block, punch, take down. Yep I did it on the street more than once. However I never drop into a punch when they are down. The punch and impact on the concrete are enough to end the fight. If you even go close to the ground, it makes it easier for his buddies to take your center and blind side you.

@bleushift men will automatically protect the face and the balls; plus the central point is actually the furthest point from your hands, so defending it is difficult, especially after becoming flat on your back and punched by a Howitzer.

Following your way of thinking, i could comment in all the videos of random guys practicing in a shooting gallery " Remember, it's always important for your opponent to stand still and wait your next shoot. If your opponent is not cooperative. Punch him." Right? Usually, training targets are inmmovile, both in martial arts and in shooting

yeah... It's developed generally based on counter attack purpose. You'll be surprise that almost 99% of cekak is about countering an attack. Only a handful of student manage to get the buah for attacking. But who need to attack when you can do a devastating counter that can kill a person , right ? That's my friend, the real beauty of Malayan arts... correct me if I'm wrong.

That was a simple counter attack , but in cekak instead using a hand and a takedown ,you use that hand to deflect the attack and use the other hand and your knee to instantly counter attack the attacker. Combining force both your fist and your knee can come up to 4000 pound to one tiny area of your rib cage. Not a good thing if catch up with one of those move moving at you at lightning speed , don't cha ?! :)

a lot of stuff are debated whether they are from indonesia or malaysia. Why? We are neighbours. We have the same lineage and ancestry. We're from the same region, archipelego. There are so many things we have in common. Cant we just say it's an art found in both country. You cannot prove silat is from indonesia and I cannot prove 100% it's from malaysia...chill. make love not war...
