Human Weapon Marine Martial Arts - Horizontal ButtStroke

This is a Demonstration of a Horiztonal Butt Stroke. Almost Identical to the Buttstroke of Krav Maga, But they didn't mention anything.. They did however combo it with a slash and thrust, so that was a difference.

Urban combat suggests times when you might be fighting opponents at close quarters, and there will always be situations where violence erupts suddenly with people standing close by. Often times it can be even easier to miss when your target is right next to you as well, as your ability to track their movements will be impaired.

@Idinatan As long as infantry have the chance of getting into hand-to-hand combat with the enemy, bayonets will continue to maintain thier usefullness, because it can make the standard rifle a good spear, and in CQC (Close Quarters Combat) having the reach to stay out of the enemys hands can mean a difference between life or death, or serious injury

  • @HLTVpro

go to a gun show and check out the bayonet on the mosin nagant. It makes the M9 bayonet and the AR's polymer stock look like butter knife on a wiffle bat. it's good to receive all kinds of training that keeps your mind and body at a good condition, but mounting a bayonet charge facing automatic firepower is completely nuts. (you shouldn't already have a bayonet mounted in this "oh shit i'm out of ammo and all alone" situation).

  • @BadBlueBoy213

Marines train in all forms of unarmed combat. Just because you are out of ammo or your weapon is jammed does not mean that you stop fighting and let the enemy kill you. Sometimes your rifle may be out of ammo or jammed and you are too close to dump the mag and load in a fresh one or to take the time to clear the weapon. The finishing move is a bayonet (knife) thrust to the kidneys - not a stab to the butt - it might be hard to tell from the video.

The thing is, terrorists use AK-47s. The most common ones with the solid wooden stock and metal buttplate will hurt a lot more than an M16 or M4 with its plastic butt. Also take in mind that terrorists more likely have bayonets because now Americans are outfitting their weapons with all that good stuff that fits on Picatinny rails. However, "all that good stuff" is much better than getting up close and personal, becuase I'd rather pick off my opponent from a distance.

Hehe yeah, shooting is indeed the main function of the rifle, but sometimes, in the worst situations, especially IF you're out of ammo, bayonet techniques are the best you got along with fire-team maneuvering tactics. I would definitely rather have a bayonet than just an 8 inch KABAR.

i know it's reliable, but there are even more reliable rifles. all i can say is this: If someone forced me to go to a hostile area and they allowed me to pick one rifle, i'd rather pick an AK model :P much easier to clean, has a better mechanism, designed for every kind of environment ( no sand or dirt can get into the chamber) and it does jam really rarely, but yeah, the m16 is hella accurate and the ak models arent
