===*COCKTAIL RECIPES - SPOILERS!!*===
Quantum Nebula by ChatGPT - Guessed RIGHT!
- 1.5oz Galactic Gin (Tanqueray No. Ten)
- 0.5oz Andromeda Amaretto (Disaronno)
- 0.5oz Nebula Nectar (St-Germain)
- 0.75oz Cosmic Citrus juice (2:1 lemon and lime)
- Garnish: Edible glitter
Shake and serve neat in coupe or Cosmopolitan glass. Sprinkle glitter on top.
ZACK'S NOTES: Use Meyer lemons in juice blend. Clarify juice with agar or centrifuge. Shake glitter in, and Garnish with a cherry wrapped in a lemon peel (like a ringed planet!)
I Loved You at Your Darkest by bartenderkyle - Guessed WRONG! - kindredcocktails.com/cocktail...
The Five Elements by Frederick Yarm - Guessed RIGHT! - kindredcocktails.com/cocktail...
ZACK'S NOTES: Substitute apple brandy or Calvados for the Cognac. Scuff cinnamon stick with Microplane before adding. The cocktail creator DID NOT come up with the symbology - that was all ChatGPT.
The Gods Must Be Lazy by sbumgarner - Guessed WRONG! - kindredcocktails.com/cocktail...
ZACK'S NOTES: The syrup is necessary. Do not substitute any ingredients - this is a very sensitive cocktail!
Thistle & Hearth by ChatGPT - Guessed WRONG!
- 2oz Highlands Scotch (Glenfiddich 12)
- 0.75oz Drambuie
- 0.5oz Lemon juice
- 0.25oz Maple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura
- Garnish: Lemon peel, small bundle of thyme
Shake hard and serve down over a large rock. Slap thyme against your palm, snap lemon peel over the drink, and drop both in.
ZACK'S NOTES: Any Scotch can be used, including peated and blended. Use Meyer lemon juice and peel. Shake a sprig of thyme along with cocktail and fine strain. Drambuie should be 0.5oz and Ango bitters are not necessary. To make my fancy garnish, wrap peel around midpoint of thyme bundle and spear the whole thing with a pick.
Planchette by enjoythemonologue - Guessed WRONG! - kindredcocktails.com/cocktail...
ZACK'S NOTES: Substitute Cointreau for triple sec and cut orange juice. If an atomizer is unavailable, coat empty glass with an eye dropper or by just rolling a small splash around.
For a planchette-y garnish, cut a triangle of orange peel. Use an apple corer to round the corners and punch a hole in the middle. Float on drink.
Their infusion recipe isn't great. Instead, combine 1 cup Cognac with 1 heaping teaspoon high-quality Chai, 1 cracked green cardamom pod, 1 small smashed cinnamon stick, and a star anise. Infuse 30 minutes and strain through cheesecloth.
To make cinnamon syrup, heat 1.5 cups Demerara sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. When it starts to simmer, take pan off heat, add 4 small smashed cinnamon sticks, and cover. Infuse 1 hour and strain through cheesecloth.

I'm gonna share my dad's Gargleblaster recipe from back in the day. Mix three shots of everclear with a shot of pepper vodka and a lemon twist. Serve in a martini glass, and drop in an ice cube as you hand it to the person, so their brain breaks when the ice cube sinks, because ice doesn't float in alcohol that strong.

Nah, no methanol, that's what makes you blind. It's just ~90% ethanol. It's the equivalent of drinking about 7-8 servings of normal alcohol. If you can survive 8 shots of hard liquor, you can survive a Gargleblaster. As I've never had more than 3 servings of alcohol in one sitting, though, I'm a bit more hesitant to try it myself. My dad was a lot wilder in college than I am. :P@@David_Phantom

Sober 7 years. Drinking has became much more prevalent in nerd culture than it used to be. It sucks for me. I used to be able to find other free-range weirdos who don't drink. Now I can't even find board game groups, book clubs or D&D pick up games without booze. I blame Critical Role and Geek and Sundry. I made a flow chart that proves this hypothesis because of course I did. Granted, of all the inebriated people I have ever encountered, nerds are by far the most fun and interesting. Still, when you don't drink it feels like you're stuck in an old noir detective movie: everyone drinking scotch before noon for some reason.

@@skuNk_citY I know how you feel. I didn't drink a drop for many years by choice despite never being a heavy drinker at all. I found a lot of like minded people in the punk and hardcore music scene. That changed over time as well, though I was also just in the scene less. Needs used to be totally sober a lot more too when I first started college and all. Over time that has definitely shifted. Honestly being around weed smoking bothers me way more than drinking, but in general I prefer sober people to non, especially when doing something like games or a nerdy project. Even so, just keep looking for your groups of people and even if a few occasionally partake, doesn't mean you have to. I would suspect it has far more to do with the craft beer industry exploding and suiting nerd culture far better than pounding garbage corporate beer than it has anything to do with particular well known entertainers.

The cocktails would meet (as the crow flys) in Buchanan, Georgia. New Orleans is roughy 1,880,000m ~ 1,890,000m away from New York, and the two cocktails would meet at 1/3 the way from New Orleans to New York, which would put the collision point at about 630,000m. Depending on the start and end points this puts you at around the Buchanan, Georgia area.

And also admire who can deal with people, because it's exausting. Now the fact than a robot can mix correctly the right amounts of spirits and an AI can mix correctly the right amount of sarcasm, it doesn't mean they'll be a good barman/barmaid/bartender. The only thought that I might be joining a bar bc I'm tired of a work day, and can't start a conversation yelling about something because the AI barkeeper would respond something like "Yeah, tho you might wanna politely take into account also the government's reasons to ask you all those taxes." That scares the creep out of me dude. Seriously. I've never destroyed a pub on booze and neither this time would happens since I'll leave angrier than before and without even having got sparkling. Drinking (responsibly ofc) is a social activity. It's a matter of people. That's why we pay good 7-10 bucks for a drink with 3$ worth of alcohol at best. To interact. I probably won't pay half of that for the best Negroni in the world, if it's in a place with just no vibes. AI vibes. I'd litterally prefer one where the glasses are flying. empty or full. I hope to have said the obvious. :)

Was old mate a bar tender in his pervious life? Had mates like him before and we'd always get totally blind, now I'm just a beer bloke.

Scot here. I also guessed human for that one, whisky and lemon and honey is very common - they're called hot toddy's, are usually served warm and are a traditional flu remedy. The ch in Glenfiddich is the same as the ch in loch - like a phlemy K. Drambruie is spot on though. Great videos :)

This episode makes me think that a chatGPT bar would perform well. Every visit could be unique, you enter your prompt at the table and the bar gets a recipe output

Thoroughly impressed with ChatGPT's cocktails. Not sure if it was just sheer random chance or what, but those actually had me wanting to try them!

A Sazerac leaving New Orleans at 30mph and a Whiskey Sour leaving New York at 60mph? They would crash somewhere around Fort Payne, Alabama... assuming they were taking the roads. It would also take roughly 14 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
