Like the first example, I am working with a Healthcare company where I reach out nurses to keep their credentials updated. However my role is called "customer relationship manager". Will this help me if I wish to transition into l&d?

I been wanting to get into HR postions but i guess because i have no experience in the field i I have not been able to get the job. I have mostly restaurant and call center experience. Im currently working at an assisted living facility. I have a bachelor's degree in Communications but lately i been thinking about going back to get my Masters degree in HR. I have been lost in my career and im just trying to find something which i am happy in and makes me more money. I need advice how can i start or get my foot in the door with a HR position. Do you feel like i need a Master's degree in order to get my start in an HR role? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I know it can be frustrating getting into HR, but I wouldn’t recommend getting a Master’s degree before you gain actual experience in Human Resources. Even with a Master’s Degree, most employers are looking for those with some experience in the field. I have a whole video on my channel with tips on how to get into HR, hopefully it helps!

It won’t be as difficult compared to if you had zero experience, but when interviewing for an HR Generalist role, I would highlight how you will use the skills you learned in T&D to succeed in the HR Generalist role.
