This video is a goldmine for teachers who are looking to switch careers. Your tips on avoiding these mistakes are invaluable. I'll be sharing this with my fellow educator friends who are considering a change. Keep up the fantastic work!
Awesome video I start my training specialist job for the government Monday, I don't have a degree but I have licensing and experience on everything on wheels and tracks I did serve as a heavy equipment operator instructor and senior instructor in my 12 years in the Marine Corps I love teaching.

Thanks for the information! I've been working in recruitment for 5 years and want to make a change to another HR role. What could help make the transition?
Hi there. I went for an interview and receive a role as a management trainee in Learning and Communication department. Do you know what should I expect?
This is what I am interested in!

It’s a great Department!
Like the first example, I am working with a Healthcare company where I reach out nurses to keep their credentials updated. However my role is called "customer relationship manager". Will this help me if I wish to transition into l&d?
Do you think you can get into HR with a human and organizational development degree?
I want to be an instructor in training and development.
thanks!

No problem! 💕
I been wanting to get into HR postions but i guess because i have no experience in the field i I have not been able to get the job. I have mostly restaurant and call center experience. Im currently working at an assisted living facility. I have a bachelor's degree in Communications but lately i been thinking about going back to get my Masters degree in HR. I have been lost in my career and im just trying to find something which i am happy in and makes me more money. I need advice how can i start or get my foot in the door with a HR position. Do you feel like i need a Master's degree in order to get my start in an HR role? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I know it can be frustrating getting into HR, but I wouldn’t recommend getting a Master’s degree before you gain actual experience in Human Resources. Even with a Master’s Degree, most employers are looking for those with some experience in the field. I have a whole video on my channel with tips on how to get into HR, hopefully it helps!

Start out as a coordinator or assistant
Will it be difficult to move from a training and development role to a hr generalist role?

It won’t be as difficult compared to if you had zero experience, but when interviewing for an HR Generalist role, I would highlight how you will use the skills you learned in T&D to succeed in the HR Generalist role.
