Good evening from Scotland guys! Yeah, that "GROWL" eh? Somebody said in comments a while ago it was the soul of a Siberian Tiger in Diana! I agreed - just in case! Here she is again holding the judges and the audience in the palm of her hand - at 15yo! Since she started performing solo on stage at around 13yo Diana has had her audiences engaged fully. Difficult to concentrate on anything else when she sings. Look closely at her face and body language change before she starts singing - like she is channeling the songs energy from somewhere else. She physically changes before your eyes and "lives" in the song until it's end, then Diana reappears with that fabulous smile. Almost scary, but beautifully so. There isn't anyone out there with the abilities or talent of this beautiful young woman. She is a true performer. Peter, you're so right about Diana changing before starting a song & then reappearing - the one that really gets me is her first performance of "Finicky Horses", the difference between the colour segments before and after vs the performance, in black & white, is staggering.

@@jinxvrs Yes, I have never witnessed such an effect and have no explanation for it. As a once singer my self I understand the principle and used it, but nowhere near that level! Damn, she is almost "posessed" by the song writers spirit - daft as it sounds! Quite an extraordinary young woman.

We are glad to see you again. Igor not only nodded his head, he gave Diana an apartment in Moscow so that she could get a higher musical education. Now she is a student of GITIS.

Dimash is the universe, but Diana is the earth, our home ... and when you hear her voice you feel like she has wrapped you in a warm velvet blanket and served you a mug of hot, dark chocolate. Every song is a unique experience, it captivates you, you feel bound by magic. Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not love her child, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the child with a broken collarbone in the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Finally, there she found love... from Irina Ponik, who worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for Irina ... Of course, taking a child into the family was not easy for Irina but she became her 'mother' when Diana was 5 years. Diana now lives in a poor but loving family. Diana spoke badly but sang all the songs from cartoons. An acquaintance of her mother, a musician, noticed that Diana had a perfect pitch and advised her to take singing lessons. So Diana took lessons from the singing teacher Elena Anatolyevna Kazantseva, who discovered Diana's talent. And so it all started ... The Arseniev period lasted from the end of 2008 to September 2012. During this time Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions. Diana's mother became her daughter's manager, she found the addresses of music competitions, negotiated with the organizers and selected a repertoire. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances and competitions is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She is looking for sponsors because flights are expensive and took extra sewing courses. Since then she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary. After winning a competition in Moscow, Diana's mother was offered to leave the girl in a boarding school for gifted children. She refused and in 2012 moved with her small family to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana now also has a grandma and has also lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her. 2013-2015 Diana played in the theater studio of Dmitry Marfin, director of children's programs at the Togliatti Philharmonic Society, whom Diana valued as 'a real workaholic and fan of her craft'. After her debut on June 3, 2014 (Diana played Becky Thatcher in the jazz musical 'Tom Sawyer and His Friends'), she met Svetlana Ivanovna Vovk, the director and pop singing teacher at the Togliatti College of Music and Rodion Shchedrin, member of the jury international and national music competitions and Diana's journey continued ... Diana's voice, her perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a little girl and so she impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win. So, in 2017 on February she went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. A door had closed but a new door opened: In 2018 and 2019, Moscow hosted the 3rd season of a unique international Competition instead of “You are Super”, which was launched in 2016 specifically for adopted and orphaned children. Diana took part and won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to KZread and made Diana known worldwide. She now has many millions of fans around the world. The final of the international singing competition for children 'You are Super' took place in the Kremlin Palace. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote. Diana won a scholarship to the music college. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow so that she could begin her vocal training with the best teachers in Moscow such as Professor Olga Donskoy (she died of Covid-19 in October 2020). The break of voice made Diana’s voice darker and deeper. During her vocal break, her voice sometimes went a little crazy. You can hear it in some videos from that time. Some of them are fantastic cover songs - like "Take on Me" or "Havana" and many others. And the fact that she can produce such a deep voice (sometimes like the voice of Cher or Shakira) is due to this special technique of manipulating the larynx to expand the throat (similar to yawning!). The story about Diana and her discovery by IGOR Krutoy and the following support and production (Please read the VITA of Diana Ankudinova in Wikipedia - really remarkable). By the way, thanks for the great reactions and respect to a teenager of 15 years. I fell in love with this young goddess, this angel with the unique voice.
