Its a division technique it basically is like this: 7532÷8=? You take the first number if it doesn't fit the divisor, you take two. 75÷8=9, remainder=3 The first number is 9. The next start of the number is 3. So, it will be 33. 33÷8=4, remainder=1 The second number is 4. Then you continue. It becomes 12. 12÷8=1, remainder=4 The final answer without decimals would be 941.

@@joepopplewell6185 Yea have fun taking photos of all of that, then inserting them in order, then accounting for repeating lines. Coding can do a lot but you would still have to manually input every single digit. The worst part about checking this is that to know your answer is correct you have to re-do the checking from scratch several times. If your code messes up, if you mess up the order of photos inserted, you will never know what went wrong where, or that anything went wrong other than checking it again and again manually anyway. It would be much more efficient to have stood there with her checking each digit was correct as she wrote it.

@@gyrthez246 realistically, you can probably just check the first 10 numbers and be almost certain. There is a decay of 1 order of magnitude for each number produced. And they probably randomized a 100k digit number prior to writing it out to have a ground truth value. If she still got it wrong after 10 digits, then its just a minor error of computation and not randomization.

How to do this: number to be divided is called "dividend"(100k digit number). number used to divide the dividend is called "divisor"(8) You evaluate the dividend one or two digits at a time with the divisor until all digits are calculated. So, from what I could see from the video,the first eight digits are 34100324... To start, you divide the first number of the sequence by 8. Easier to ask yourself "how many 8s are there in a 3?" the answer is "0". Then you multiply 8 by 0 which is 0, subtract 0 from 3 and stick the next number 4 to 3 which is 34. This 34 will then be divided by 8 which is 4. 8x4=32 will be subtracted from 34 giving a difference of 2. The next digit(1) will be attached to 2 making it 21. This is again divided by 8 "how many 8s are there is 21?". Answer is 2. 2x8=16 which is subtracted from 21 with a difference of 5. The next digit 0 will be attached to 5 making it 50 that is again divided by 8. There are 6 8s in 50. 6x8=48 subtract from 50 difference of 2, attach next digit 0 to 2 making it 20. how many 8s in a 20? there are 2 making 8x2=16 and so on over and over until the last digit is evaluated. So its basically one or two digit numbers divided by 8 over and over. I mean, you could just grab any part of the equation and look if the answer keeps up with the answer you gave before. If you say 8/8=120/8=210 then it's obviously wrong. It's even easier if you already know the answer beforehand.
