​@aloknath1473 Faiz was not a believer in religions. In Urdu pros this means all symbols of dogma will be removed. In next line, he says, those who are expelled from kaaba will be back on the throne. Muslims orthodox will object to the second line. There are several other lines in this poem which criticises the dogmatic Muslim views and projects the belief in humanity

Exactly. Some people during the protests and the makers of Kashmir files have clearly destroyed the essence of this beautiful song by adding Allah's name and making it an anti-hindu song. So sad.

This beautiful revolutionary song was sung against General zia regime at Al Hamara Arts council Lahore. Iqbal bano(singer) wore black Sari in defiance against ban of Saree and poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz as well as protest against Faiz sb illegal arrest. Batton charge started but concert was a success. Lot of people were arrested by marital law govt.

One gets goose bumps while listening. Ba-kamaal.

Please do one correction, it is not Hindi Ghazal. It was written and sung in Urdu. Faiz sahib wrote "Nuskha-haiy-wafa", a collection of his works in "Urdu". Therefore, it must be corrected. Thanks

भाई जरा इनके बारे में पढ़ लीजिए, इकबाल बानो वह औरत थी जिन्होंने मजहबी कट्टरवाद का विरोध किया था, यह वह शक्षियत थी जिन्होंने पाकिस्तान में ज़िया उल हक की मजहबी कट्टरवाद सरकार के खिलाफ यह नज़म गाई थी, तब इन्होंने साड़ी पहन कर गई थी नज़म क्युकी पाकिस्तान में साड़ी पर प्रतिबंध लग गया था। इस नज़म के खिलाफ होना आपकी बौद्धिकता का मयार दिखा रहा है
