I also love the fact that Matt Talbott hasn't changed his main guitar his entire Hum career. Love how that Les Paul is all road worn and it still fucking puts out.

These boys are insanely underrated.. so heavy yet so catchy and melodic. Nobody did it like Hum. Nobody does it like Hum...and nobody will ever do it like Hum.

@@noughiphiet I wish they'd play again too, but honestly I think it would be too hard for them without Bryan. Its different when someone fills in because he isn't available, verse him being gone. We can dream though.

@@isleofthecheetah I don't think they can write any more albums without him. It wouldn't be the same. But he does a good job of replicating those drum parts, so live shows would be cool.

I can't tell you how many times I ate mushrooms and just sat there listening to Hum.....

I wish these guys would play in IL some time soon. I seen them around 97. I left a girlfriend after the concert. She was mad that I was enjoying the show and not paying attention to her. I think I would leave another girl to see them again! LOL:)

Tim Lash absolutely murders this show. Unbelievable technical prowess and very interesting and clever lead lines. He's up there with the greats. No one can touch him (almost).

I saw a Hum show many years ago and after the show had the honor of meeting Tim. He is a monster on guitar. I was impressed by how humble he was. Talked to us like we were just ordinary guys at the convenience store.

Fave guitarist ever. You should check out the way he makes his guitar sound like an overdriven organ in Alpha Mile. His vibrato is crazy!

Tim Lash still looks like a teenager and still produces SO MUCH SOUND!!!

Gerken SO nailed that drum break on Stars...the original was perfect and he was faithful to that perfection. Never die, guys...

Boy With Stick deserves some frigging love. Honestly my favorite Hum song and it is not even on an album. I like to add it as the opener to You'd Prefer An Astronaut and it makes a great album even greater.

20 years later and Stars still sounds like how they played it in 1995 in 2015!

Digging those Hi-Watt amps, those things will dislocate your soul!!!

Gerken told me that he wanted to write completely new songs with hum. But it seems like a couple songs are getting dusted off... inklings and cloud city possibly?

Grew up watching these guys in Champaign. Fucking amazing band. Love them

Every so often I think about which song is the better album closer. I Hate it Too (not the actual closer but the one I consider to be), The Scientists, or Shapeshifter. Shapeshifter just ends so softly and suddenly I think it beats the others since it truly feels like a progression of the band in all facets. Man, RIP Bryan, but I really hope this isn't the end for Hum :(

Even with Matt blocking him, you can totally tell that is Gerkin by the cymbal hits. So good.

If Failure recorded another album recently, their brothers from Hum should fucking do the same. Long live to Space Rock. HUM RULES

That drum beat, the wall of guitar sound, Matt's soaring vocals in the final chorus.

I need to be able to like this more than once or just give us a damn LOVE IT button.

I fuckin love this band!! I only got to see them once in Houston at Fitzgeralds when they was releasing Downward is Heavenward, hopefully they'll make their way back down here sometime soon. One of my favorite shows ever right up there with the Death to the Pixies tour!!

After 20 years, this was my (along with my brother and like 5-6 of our friends) first time seeing HUM live. I really thought the day would never come, but it did. We were all able to even talk to Matt after the show. He seemed impressed that there were HUM fans from Guam lol... Got to see them in Pomona a year after this show with Bryan St. Pere back on drums and it just seemed even better! I even got Matt and Bryan to sign my copy of Fillet Show which surprised both of them hahaha! Here's hoping for another show in 2017!!!

Used to go see these guys EVERY time they came to St. Louis. First time was at the old nasty Cicero's basement bar. Last time was over in Belleville Il. just before they broke up.

Yeah, he was. But I'm honestly glad the band picked Gerken as St. Pere's replacement-he's a monster drummer in his own right. Plus, he's always been a huge fan of Hum, so this is like a dream gig for him.

+NIVO1972 I would imagine anyone who is taking the time to search for Hum in 2016 is a fan of all of their music. If it were 1995, then definitely start at 17:16. But what a great band, all of their music is great.
