Mandy Er, no. From this side of the pond it is odd hearing him do an American accent!

It's so funny how people are still absolutely astouned that Laurie's not American when his life is the epitome of Britishness ever: went to Eton, studied at Cambridge and was a professional rower there in the Oxford-Cambridge rowing race, and best friends with Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, and Rowan Atkinson. Just shows how amazing an actor he is!

I'm amazed that anyone ever thought that Hugh Laurie was American. I think he's a fantastic actor, but his American accent was pretty ropey. Btw, I'm English and I can't distinguish between American and Canadian half the time! On another note, I had a teenage crush on Hugh Laurie, and now I have a grown-up crush. If there is such a thing :)

Hugh Laurie deserves way more attention, recognition and appreciation than he gets. And I don't mean about his work as House. He has interviews about other roles yet they always go back to House. It's insulting! He's incredibly, incredibly, incredibly talented in many different ways! This video is proof of just part of that.

Chosen to compete at the Olympics, though sadly did not, a musical virtuoso, phenomenal actor, and quite literally a genius... a sense of humor second to none... as you say deserving of far more attention, recognition, and appreciation than he receives. I'd give almost anything simply to sit next to him on a bus for an hour and talk about any subject he chose... He's Bloody Brilliant

Danni Masters Studio he displayed many of his talents on House, is why everyone remembers as just that. Many things that make him brilliant is why he received such recognition regarding House and still does.

I know that some people don't like him but my personal favorite among British actors is Benedict Cumberbatch, i think he is amazing in ''Sherlock'' and ''The Imitation Game''. And obviously Connery is among the favorites too.

This is blues, not about the voice but the feeling and color it brings to the melodies and story behind the lyrics.

Finlay Mathias House (Laurie) has a team of underlings, and in one episode early on they couldn't figure out what was wrong with someone, so they rashly threw out "Lupus!" - which can take several years to diagnose, thinking that was why they couldn't diagnose him. House, just being House, tells them, "It's not Lupus" and, "It's never Lupus". I think that that is just House believing a Lupus diagnosis is his team's way of saying they're too lazy to figure out what it really is, but they really just think it's Lupus because they feel like they've tried everything. Until one day it actually IS Lupus. DUN DUN DUN!

It took me a while to get used to Hugh Laurie using an American accent as I'd been a great fan of his since the early 1980s so I'd only seen him in British comedy. The first time I heard him using an American accent I'm pretty sure was when I took my then small son to see Stuart Little and I found it quite offputting at first, I'll admit. I think it took me a few episodes of House before I got really used to it. Still love him - a very intelligent, humble, extremely funny and talented man. If I see something with Mr Laurie in it, I'll always give it a look and haven't been disappointed yet.

Hugh Laurie - one of those rare magnificent bastards that ages like a fine wine. He just seems to get better! I never knew he could sing and play the piano like that! Is there anything this man can't do? I first remembered him from Blackaddder...so very fresh faced and young, then later on, he popped back up as House....and now this! Amazing! I love it!

This had my full attention for all of 30 seconds (saw his photo), and then I miss the rest of the video & music due to my hysterical laughter!!

I’m impressed, he is so multi talented. I really like him.

I am not surprised he sings so beautifully. I first saw him in House. Then, I saw him in Sense and Sensibility. He is beyond a versatile entertainer. Mr. Laurie is a dynamic talent.

Meh, most of them grew up as theater kids, which invariably involves singing at some point. It's actually more weird to find a successful actor who CAN'T sing, at least somewhat well.

his talent is actually hard to wrap ones head around. he’s just so, so phenomenal. he never fails to astound me. what I wouldn’t give to play with him, sing with him, learn from him... he’s not only this amazing musician, but house meant so fucking much to me. it still does. it’s somehow my comfort show (odd choice, I know) but as someone with chronic pain, I can relate to him so deeply at times. I wish I could be angry. I wish I could release these complicated, weighted feelings somehow. I just can’t.

I wish I could offer better advice. I had chronic pain and homeopathy eliminated the pain for me. I got excited and thought: here is a solution for chronic pain. Worked like a charm for me, but not for everyone. Maybe self hypnosis. I am sending you a prayer. I pray all of your pain evaporates. 🌺🌸💜
