The delightful Hugh Grant spoke with MovieWeb's Greg Archer about playing a Tony the Tiger mascot based on a real person in Jerry Seinfeld's new movie, Unfrosted: A Pop-Tart Story. He says he's never eaten a Pop-Tart and that, contrary to some reports, he got on very well with Seinfeld. He also teased the fourth Bridget Jones movie and said he cried while reading the script on a plane. He calls it the best-written of the four films.
Unfrosted streams on Netflix beginning May 3.

Silly, that's just a napkin dispenser. The interviewer is A Glass of Water.

He should have used a napkin to blow his nose
I worked with Hugh and he is a great guy, a real total professional and willing to help out anyway he could on set, unselfish - accessible - prepared and when he enters a room he looks, walks, like a movie star - of all the big names i have worked with in film he is tops! Wishing him and his family health and happiness!

I know, it's disarming in a way. Disarming 'n charming haha
Thinking back about the films I've seen him in and the characters he has portrayed, I can't recall any negative thoughts or emotions. Thank you Mr. Grant for being an excellent and skilled craftsman

Hugh Grant is the kind of handsome man that stays handsome and becomes even more attractive with age. I'll watch anything that Hugh Grant is in but not because I think he's sexy but because he makes all his characters interesting. He's very good at what he does and even when he's grumpy, he's charming.
I love unfrosted I love Hugh Grant as Tony the Tiger it was a 10/10 movie
OMGOMGOMG!! Another Bridget Jones, and Hugh Grant is going to be in it this time?? I'm IN!! I canNOT wait!

An interview with a nose scratching Hugh. I lost count… great actor, bad schnoz today, bless him!

I very much enjoy Hugh in these villainous roles, but the nose-touching -- ugh, not attractive.

Really hard to believe Seinfeld is 7 years older than Hugh Grant

@@moviewebI can’t believe Hugh never had a Pop Tart.
Hugh Grant is not a bigoted, predatory Englishman. In this respect, he’s really quite remarkable.
Please hand him a Kleenex.
He's right, pop tarts do look repulsive.

Tell him not to eat them because, as bad as they are, they can be addictive.
High playin w his nose quite a bit eh
...and there was a whole napkin dispenser right there!! I thought he was doing a bit!!
A great movie 😂 a great actor ❤
Was U Grant at the Diddy freak offs?
😂😂😂
Don’t jump to conclusions re his nose irritation. That’s me if I’m anywhere near tabacco smoke. An allergy may have set him off. He’s delightfully, refreshingly, imperfect.
I heard him talk about his allergies before. Spring time, probably pretty bad. Itchy eyes and nose.
David here I been a movie buff for over fifty years and I had mixed feelings about the movie. I loved the look of the movie and the nostalgia overload. However I had a major problem with the January 6, scene that he is in. What I would of liked to say to him was I think that you are a fine actor but did you have any issues with the January 6, scene? He had to know that was in very bad taste and there is nothing funny about 7 people who are dead and many others injured. As a reporter you had a miss opportunity to ask a important question. See you at the movies 🍿

Aren't these interviews just a fluff piece for pr? It's not really the place for hard hitting actually relevant questions about the marerial, that's just been my understanding having watched these over the years

Is this an AI interview???
@movieweb
Ай бұрын
Of course not, why would you think that?
Technically, they should be ashamed to put this out. Bad cuts, delays and general disinterest by Hugh Grant make for a mess.
Is he touching his nose 6 times in the first minute on purpose?
@movieweb
Ай бұрын
Lol yeah I think he just instinctually tries to hide his face. I don't think it's a drug or booger thing...
What s wrong with GRANT S NOSE?
this is the worst interviewer. Not conversational. Very stilted. Not particularly interesting questions but with a really witty man. Wasted opportunity
@cisium1184
Ай бұрын
Remote video communication sucks. Any kind of remote immediate conversation inherently isn't great, but adding the "on-camera" consciousness element of TV talk to the incremental delays and awkwardnesses of telephone conversation has elongated those delays and made the awkwardnesses even more awkward. And to top it all off you have this ill-fitting layer of "professionalism" on top where the participants try to pretend the whole thing is smooth by not reacting to the delays - instead of stumbling over each other the way regular people would.
@movieweb
Ай бұрын
@@cisium1184 Yeah our in-person interviews are so much better to be honest. Thanks for understanding. There's also the fact that we just had four minutes with him, so to spend the time being loose and conversational wouldn't get us much information.
Why does he constantly play with his nose? Too much coke?

I've seen people who use the "Devil's dandruff", and he's not on that. 😂 He would make sure he didn't go anywhere near his nose, if he was.
Pop Tarts: look disgusting, taste divine (“Post” toke break) it’s a resonance thing when both object and subject are similarly toasted. The interviewer was beneath any accomplished actor/performer’s time, really.
What happened to Hugh Grant? A lot of noise scratching? Could the frosted topping be cocaine? 😉
Really didn't age very well. Seinfeld is 7 years older than Hugh Grant but looks 5 years younger
