Hey buddy I’d like to say something with out you getting mad!! Hi definitely think that you need to blind your trap beds better!! You definitely don’t want two different colors in dirt or at least that is what I try not to do!! I definitely think by everything being close in color gives the animal something to catch there eyes and start wondering!! Now I now that it will catch something but there is always that one that is way smarter than the last one and I think it definitely good practice to make it look like if I was to walk up on it I’d definitely want to scratch my head wondering where did I actually set that trap?? Hopefully that makes sense and if I can tell threw a video where the trap is I’d definitely say that’s not good!!! Also you definitely should use trap covers and I definitely think that will help with catch ratio!! I’ve trapped for years and was taught by an older gentleman that was definitely really good at trapping!! He was definitely quick, efficient, and definitely loved being over a 80% on catches witch I thought was low but with the numbers of traps he would set it was definitely really good!!! He always would tell me that the less time spent at a trap the less smell put all over the area and all the more time for putting out more traps and all the better chances at getting an animal!!! I’ve seen him put in a trap in under two minutes in and out and have a catch the next day!! And definitely many like that and if you didn’t no that there was a trap there you would definitely walk right past it for sure!!! Hopefully this helps and gives you some ideas!!! I absolutely love watching your videos and of course trapper J’s channel also!!! We definitely need to get trapper J to hit that 100k mark for sure!!! He definitely deserves it for sure!!!

I really appreciate the comment and I try making the dirt all look the same but sometimes I get lazy with it for sure

CRP, pretty much tall grass. Some farmers around here put the CRP in a program for wildlife. Conservation pays farmers to do it
