We don't eat the fish, however, for the safety of those who do, I constantly check beachwater.durban.gov.za/ website which indicates whether it's poor/acceptable/ideal. At Glenashley Beach the water quality report shows that it's perfectly safe (ideal).

Don’t eat it. Have it mounted and display it so you can gaze at it for years.
