I’m in western Canada, the California of Canada I might add, but I digress, I love Planthaven Toronto myself, and we get more plants available shipped to us than to the US, there are more delicate and/or succulent plants that only ship within Canada, so we get way more of a selection , sorry! I’m so jelly of your insularis!!!! You is blessed love!!

Love this video! My pothos are giving me a hard time. How can I not grow a basic pothos? My el choco was on the struggle bus this winter, but it’s getting a new leaf! I’m totally loving my Hoya this spring- so many new leaves!!!! I’m going to check out the Hoya you got!

I've been really pleased with my PHT purchases. Glad to see they are including name tags, I do sometimes forget which Hoya is which. And I never have the thought in the moment to pick up some tags that I can write on 😅

Oh! Philo Hederaceum Micans also gives some beautiful red color from behind the leaves and they leaves are so soft ❤❤ Definitely my best growing Philo last year. Edit for misspell 🙃

Yay! Canadian’s site!

I’m a few hours north of Toronto I placed an order today (because who wants to drive in that chaos). I ordered the Epipremnum amplissimum and some hoyas and my first angel wing begonia. They also had great deals in the clearance section (thanks for the discount code!). If you haven’t already, I recommend checking out Crystal Star Nurseries. I’m not sure if they ship to US but there plants are great quality and they do treasure hunt sales - I’ve picked up hoyas and succulents that way.

I ordered my first set of hoya from Planthaven Toronto-great customer service and a from what I recieved, great plants. Their selection of hoya is great at very reasonable prices. As I type this, I’m already considering more.😭

I’ll also add-people who say hoyas look the same are usually heavy into Philos and Anthurium. Which literally look the same in their juvenile state.😩🤣😂

For future videos: I would have liked to see the plants a bit closer to the camera. For watching from a phone

I have the Epipremnum amplissimum 'Variegata' - it wants a LOT of light... (but not heat of the direct sun)

Philodendron El Choco Red being a hybrid/ cultivar is a misconception. The species name is Philodendron rubrijuvenile and was described from cultivation, which I think is how this misconception originated. I think the cultivar epithet “El Choco Red” is referring to the red abaxial surface of the leaf and the Chocoan bioregion, which is where most of the other members of Philodendron subsection Achyropodium are native to. Most members except P. rubrijuvenile, which is native to the Colombian department of Cundinamarca. Fun fact, another a member of this subsection that you may be familiar is philodendron verrucosum, by which the subsection is typified by.

loosely, haha, I've been self-teaching over the last year - I grew up as a musician (I was a bassoonist in high school 😂) and went to college for violin so I'm not completely clueless 🤣

i can't get hoyas to grow worth a damn for me yet i do fine with fussy trailing plants many people struggle with. just not hoyas. :( 2/3 have died, no doubt the third will follow. no idea how you can get them to survive.
