Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: I, too, have limitations that make my life more challenging. Depression, anxiety, and autoimmune disease are a daily battle. I just wanted to say hello... I'm thinking of you today. I, too, find solace in these heartfelt, beautiful videos. It does my heart good to see this young man, his family, and his team do all they can to decrease the suffering of these most noble and humble creatures. I hope you have a good day today. I'll think of you later today and send you some good thoughts today. 🐄 🐄 🐄 🐄

I don't know why one of your video's popped up in my feed because I had never looked up anything feet online before (maybe I looked up shoes?? lol). And I honestly thought "what is this shit??". It's amazing to me how many different people in the world are absolutely taken in by these videos. Even if you've never seen a cow in person in your life, a lot of the herd seems to feel a kinship and a comfort in watching a complete stranger ease the pain and suffering of these great beasts. It's really nice to see, in the world we live in today, that this is the sort of thing people seem to instinctively know to come together over. Also, I don't know if you can tell by the way I've written that, but I... may have watched too many of these in a row. Starting to type like he talks, I swear...

You had some beautiful sunny days! I've been in Florida all 48 of my years. I think I'd be depressed without sunshine. The landscape you have is stunning! Here I do live on a bit of a hill. That basically means I'm ABOVE sea level. 😊 Having worked with show horses all my life, I appreciate the importance of the hooves of large animals! My personal show horse had a terrible start to his hoof life as he was kept in a wet stall. We spent 15 years fighting yeast infections and no heel growth. He was a National Show Horse, half-Arabian/half-Saddlebred. A show career of using pads and wedges to give him a heel to meet his performance resulted eventually in arthritis, tendinitis, and broken sesamoids. With retirement, he had a lot of pasture time with specially-made shoes on his hind feet. I did give riding lessons on him and taught my children to ride. He lived to 31½ yrs old with us treating him like a prince. A farrier every 4 weeks and our vet doing his best to keep our Buddy from pain. Then came a day that he could not use his hind legs to stand up. He wanted to. For us. Doc loved Buddy as he knew this horse was a member of our family. We'd had him since he was two years old. It was a hard decision that night but he'd given us all he could. He truly was my first love. So, I really enjoy watching as you carefully trim these cows to give them the best chance at comfort and rehabilitation. Your accent is great to follow too. AND your humor. My children are sarcastic and I love it!

The Hoof GP truly has the health and happiness in mind for all the animals that he comes across. I also appreciate his humor and the love he has for his family and homeland. I recently lost my beloved German Shepherd dog. He was a dog that I got when he was a year and a half old after being abused and neglected by his first two owners. As his disability was in his mind and not his body it took a lot of love, patience and training for him to become the best friend I knew he could be. We had 7 wonderful years together before 2 tick born illnesses had ravaged his body. The decision to let him pass with dignity over the Rainbow Bridge was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I can't imagine watching a family member of over 30 years struggling to remain with you for just a few moments longer. As much as you loved him and wanted him to be with you always, you made the most loving final decision for his sake. My sincere condolences on the loss of the deep friendship that you shared. He'll be there waiting to see you again when the time comes. ❤😘

Living on a hill has very little to do with 'living above sea level'. I think louisiana is the only state below sea level. I don't live on a hill but like most people live above sea level. Do a little reading/geography

@@janetwilliams8630 Hey, Karen! This was a video from The Great Hoof GP. My comment was along the lines of his video and how hooves go bad when in wet environments. Do you have livestock? Or is it just your week to bitch? I won't be back to see your reply. I'm on the beach today, celebrating my friend's birthday. So nice to live on huge, green pastures shaded with oak trees and live just a few miles from palm trees at the beach. Did I mention I love my home? I pray you find some sunshine.

I love how u care for the cows and ease their pain, interact with all your family members and are teaching your kids too. Scotland the land of my ancestors is gorgeous and i love seeing it thru your eyes. And u always pick the best music. I love being part of your herd. Cheers and blessings to u all.

It is always good to hear the farmers asking you questions and passing onto you their knowledge of the cows. Although you are busy you have time to have conversations with farmers about the herd, which helps maintain the health and wellbeing of the cows.

If you lightly tap them with the pole, it lessens the likely hood of being kicked. The pole, if you guys notice has a ball of tape on the end. That’s to prevent the stick from becoming sharp or from harming any cattle from stepping on it. Moo to you too! 🤗
