Just playing devil's advocate here, my guess is since characters are released way more than ships they do not see a reason to speed up ship farms. We get like 20 characters a year and a handful of ships. I do agree though, speeding up ship farms would be nice.

I started a new f2p account this year. Logging in and doing all the dailies and never letting energy pile up, I've gotten to level 81 in about 80 days. This update has been long overdue and I'm all here for it!

80-85 is the hardest grind… hated it haha

I remember being new a year ago; hesitating to buy the hyperdrive bundle thinking “but will there be more to do?” I had no idea lmao

With these new total characters we'll have at least 5 Jedi, 5 Rebels, 5 Phoenix, 5 Bounty hunters and 5 Empire for all their respective legendaries.

Level 85 takes about 4 months

This is nice for the new players. I’d also like to see them add a new tab to the Journey Guide and call it something like Marquee Journey (or figure out a better name) and have all of the old Marquee Events in there so new players or players that left the game and came back don’t miss out on those initial character shards and that feeling of unlocking something new and so they don’t have to grind them from 0/25.

Man new players nowadays get such good stuff. My first character after the tutorial characters was Luminara Unduli 💀

It took me AGES to get to lvl 85, the upside to that was that in GAC I was dominating sith my g12 sith. I got solos with SION

This is huge! I only started playing about a month ago, only level 72 right now and fleets are the biggest wall I've hit. Getting all this stuff will be a massive boost

I'm hitting level 84 tomorrow so this absolutely great news!

I just hit 82, and when I saw that we're getting characters that I'm actively grinding for I just took a big sigh of relief. Especially for the ships, mine are a mess 😂

Im level 75 as of rn, and i have a 7* pheonix squad of kannan, chopper, ezra, and zeb. I have a 6* hera that im tryna get to 7*, but yk, shes just hard to grind like that. But seeing that ill be able to get hera shards from this new update makes me so happy!!

Nice I just started again 1 week ago and been hard farming imperial troopers and jedi so this is a welcome surprise to my F2p account.

I'm a level 41 player started not too long and i was working my way to the full phoenix team including Captain Rex and let me tell you the grind is very painful considering Rex is a singular drop, but hey eventually i got them. this update is most definitely going to make life easier and will help me promote my team to 7 stars way faster. THANK YOU CAPITAL GAMES!

This is amazing! Newer players having 3 older-but-decent fleets to go to is gonna be great; Endurance can do some stuff with the GR ships, Home One with the Rebel ships (with the BHs, Chewbacca will be unlocked and players will only need to wait on Han and other BH ships), and Executrix/Chimaera with Empire (Palpatine and his Shuttle being easily unlocked, with the Shuttle being the pain point). Not starting over, but this will bode well for those players in Carbonite and give a stronger foundation for them to work with and focus on.

Its taken me some 3 months to get to lvl 78 playing almost every day

Anhald, I think the reason that you’d want to scale Mon Mothma offense is for her summon as her summon is based on her stats. Hence why you scale the offense and it packs a bigger punch

My dream additions to the game would be the Republic Commandos Delta squad, Bomo Greenbark and Dass Jennir, Cade Skywalker, Jerriah Syn, Deliah Blue, and episode 1 and 2 Anakin.

I leveled up two accounts to 85 in the last year and I had spreadsheets for tracking all of the XP gained from energy and events/quests in the game. I estimated on my spreadsheet that it takes up to 100 days to level an account to 85 just from the base game using every single bonus energy and collecting from the webstore daily. Granted there are a lot of extra events and spending more crystals on energy refreshes helps get you there faster, it took me nearly 120 days to get all the way to 85 since I didn't know about the webstore for half of it.

man, i remember slogging through the levels. Eventually, after I had come back to the game after the hyperspeed bundle came out, I just did what your brother did and bought it.

I’m was planning on running a 3rd account but I’m gonna wait for this update. Kinda excited to see how long it takes to get a gl now

I am fully in support of this, getting new players will be huge for this game if this works. I got my alt to level 85 in mid-may so will just miss out on this. Was kind of on the fence if I wanted to continue with the alt and buy future LSBs or nuke it. This probably makes the decision for me, depending on if I end up behind or level with new players, but still think this a positive.

It’s great news for sure but when you’ve been level 85 for awhile or freshly (within 2-3 months), cough cough my second account. it’s like singing happy birthday for someone you don’t know. You want to be happy for them you know spreading the cheer is nice but this means very little for you if you’ve gotten past this struggle. I do like the progress but it still stings a bit my second account missed the deadline and already farmed 7* captain rex and Anakin ship. I’m not of the group that says i suffered they should too i am glad they don’t have to suffer what my sub account and main account did. However my suffering wounds are still fresh the scabs haven’t fully healed and this news doesn’t help them heal lol

I don't remember when I hit level 85 (but it was earlier this year) and I hit 1 million GP just under a month ago, after spending my first money in the game on the geo LSB. today, Anakin's starfighter is at 62/100 for 7 stars.

my new account got those, mainly free to play but might buy the 80 shards for darth Vader so I can get to 7 stars quicker, it's been 4 days and already almost have my Vader ar 6 stars

I hit level 85 last week

It took time for me to hit that level, i had to burn my fears and use it as fuel for my journey

I remember spending like 2-3 hours on the C-3PO and Chewbacca events just hoping for the right rng because I had significantly undergeared characters. Also remembering gas event from like 4 years ago with both the 2nd tier and the ventress tier. The struggle makes the charecter so much better in my opinion

Rather hope they offer the lightspeed bundles to new players too. Feel like if you just start, you should have the option to buy some of those (esp the Rey/Kylo ones) so they can get going. Not a great value right off since you'll miss zetas etc, but at least they could get a good jump on things and get a flavor of the game.

Some weird stuff with this. I hit lvl 85 after completing some of these new quests on the update day. And then the quests just stopped appearing. Maybe intended maybe not. But also I get a quest to promote a character to 2 stars, which I already have at 7 stars. And it won’t autocomplete, so some nice bugs there.

ngl i kinda wish we got b1 battle droid as well but nonetheless this looks great.

It’s quite good hyper drive gives you a months advantage. So use your time wisely others will catch up in a month. I think it’s fair as you get a months worth of rewards with your drive

Started an alt account, speed rushing executor. Will have it this month despite RC being the worst farm I've ever experienced. Meanwhile LSbs drop so now every new player had garbage resistance, NS, Geos, fo teams and negotiator. It's like cool I grinded for nothing 🤣 although being a 2 million beating a 6 mil in carbonate is hilarious when my 7 mil main is kyber. 😂

Been playing a few years on and off and currently trying to get captain rex. Taking forever getting 1-2 shards a day. I guess it’s a RIP for me though as I’ll not get him given.

Restarted a new player account about 3 maybe 4 months ago, have been playing every day, making sure not wasting energy recovery times or anything, and i'm still only 81

So y’all what’s the f2p counter to Phoenix team? Rn the only squads I really have viable are my own Phoenix, empire with Palp,Mara,Vader,Thrawn, and I have rebel fighters. Rn my empire team is holding the fort down but that’s only because I haven’t faced a Phoenix team with Rex omicron yet. I use my own Phoenix to counter high lvl empire comps so I know Phoenix beats empire hard later on. My next team farm is Raddus rogue one team and I’m hoping that team fares well against Phoenix :/.
