Each two pack had a reason. One it's Wolverine's anniversary. Second it's to showcase the character moment. There was only one Lady Mandarin moment, against Ninja Logan. Lilandra against a Brood Logan. Sabretooth vs Wolverine is literally birthday addition. Now the flame effect is a good mystery

What Hasbro could have done is add a sculpted folded arms piece to swap out with Fixits regular arms. I'd pay extra for that.

I'm with you on the 2 packs . I'm not satisfied with Psylocke I would have much preferred her in the original costume. That's just me . Not sure about the Brood Wolverine either . That Angel though .... Wow

I agree with you. If you're making a two pack, make it where both characters are wanted. And make it where having them together in a two pack makes sense. I, for one, would like to see a Bloodscream and Rough House two pack from the early years of Wolverine. Maybe even an Albert and Elsie Dee two pack. 🤷🙂

Hasbro is the type of company that would come out with a "groundbreaking" mixed jar of peanut butter and pickles and flood the market with them, stock the shelves with jars of just pickles, and somehow constantly be sold out of peanut butter. I really want a peanut butter sandwich... why would they insist on putting pickles in everything? *I like pickles, but sometimes I just want peanut butter.

I’m so bummed about the Lilandra situation. I was so looking forward to purchasing her but unfortunately I’ll be passing on her. I really hope the tease at the end refers to Rachel Summers, I need a complete Excalibur team.

Im playing the waiting game for a carded Sabertooth. I will admit its nice that its not the tank top Wolverine again. Give him an axe and he can go lumberjacking in the Canadian wilderness.

Hasbro’s packed in classic Sabretooth with a casual Logan in the past in the 3.75 inch Marvel Universe line so I’m not surprised there. I’ll figure out what to do with my current Ninja Wolverine cuz I don’t want two but I would love to have that Lady Mandarin. The Sabretooth and Lilandra 2 packs are instant preorders for me, probably gonna wait on Patch and Fixit just cuz Hulk always inflates the price of a 2 pack

fan channel actually makes things better for smaller retailers. fan channel means it's exclusive to small specialty retailers (nerdzoic, entertainmenearth, bbts, etc.). it pretty much just makes it so you can't get them at walmart or target

on your final points about feeling good about buying figures, i changed my approach to collecting and i follow this rule; buy what you want, not what they make.

I think with the Wolverine and Sabertooth 2 pack, they could have two heads for Wolverine, one with the hat not on, and one with a piece of plastic attached to the back of his head so the hat can be shown flying off his head

The fact that the box art has a more dynamic Logan head is like a slap on the face BUT sabertooh finding Logan at a bar makes a lot of sense. Is it a wolverine anniversary or something? He’s in every two pack. And is there something up with him having an aggressive face? All the way from 97 to these figures all the new wolverine figures don’t have an aggressive head sculpt

Honestly, I was on the fence about Lilandra, I am not a big Shi'ar guy. But... that Brood Wolverine put it over for me. I love that classic Silvestri cover and I'll put him with my Brood Queen.

If these were single carded in the same wave, people would buy them all. But everyone can see that move from Hasbro. You are bang on the money regarding the two packs. Angel looks beautiful though.

Dont really collect many marvel legends but that wolverine and Sabertooth 2 pack looks nice. That version has always been my favorite. I used to have a 12" fig in that style

I've been waiting on a new Sam Cap to go with my 20th Steve and Bucky Caps! The new shield and wings are nice, but they made the figure inaccurate. That's Sam's *current* Cap suit, so he should have a beard. Minor nitpick, but it's there. They probably just reused the previous figure's parts as much as they could. Angel looks good but I want a new Archangel! Totally with you on the 2-packs. I want Sabretooth and Lilandra, but the 2-packs bring down my interest. If the hat was removable, I wouldn't mind casual Wolverine because I could use more civilian heads, but the ninja one is nothing (that may be the only Wolverine figure I've seen pegwarm) and the Brood one is... fine, but surplus to requirements. Plus, it bugs me that they gave him new arms but not new shoulders, so his infection apparently only affects the face, biceps and forearms lol. It's a shame they're locking good figures behind 2-packs.

The thing with Sabretooth is that he has a HUGE head, Hasbro has an "issue" with sculpting huge heads that make the characters look out of proportions, compared to the 90s look, like this one. The head should be fixed now.

I don’t know anything about brood Wolverine or llandira but I really like that Wolverine. I remember a very long while back robo made a custom of him and I really like the design and it’s cool to see that there doing it officially and I might try and pick his up second hand since I don’t care about the other figure.

They should’ve gave us an updated pin-less brown suit Wolverine with the Sabretooth two pack instead of the cowboy one who no one wants.

Well I for one will for sure be getting the Lilandra two pack, Sabertooth two pack, and Angel. Two pack might’ve been the wrong move, but I’ll still be getting them.

Would Definitely get that Angle if he comes with a flight stand. Want a Liandra too even though I don't need another Wolverine I already have one that I don't care about. My figure of the Year just came to me today. A DC Multiverse collector's edition Sinestro Corp Sinestro I had the Green Lantern version but now I also have his Sinestro Corps version and he looks so much better in person and in Yellow which is a color I don't usually like on most things.

I have always been a blue skin and metal wings fan over the feathery wings but that Angel looks gorgeous.

That Brood Wolverine is just begging to be made in to a Cyber repaint.

To be fair, Sometimes collectors want to have their cake and eat it too. We want and expansive universe with D list characters, but complain when companies have to find a way that makes sense for them, for example 2 packs. Again, there is a reason why McFarlane does all batmen and Mafex doesn’t do D list characters.

really wish they made a new or at least different head sculpt for the hydra cap. I cant unsee it on the ultimate cap lol.

Sabertooth and winged figures are my top wants. Sabertooth having a big head and no fists is really my only criticisms. Personally i dont mind the logan expressions. If hes baring teeth i assume the hats flown off. The training suit head should work nicely. To a lesser extent Lilandra. The rest are clearance pick ups. I keep thinking of McFarlane where they put out their figures in multiple ways. Single card, Baf, and multi packs. Engage with it how you want. Todd isnt laying off 10% of his work force.

Just buy her separately that’s how I always do it. I never buy a pack of figures to get figures I don’t want. eBay or Mercari you’ll be good she might be a little expensive same as sabertooth, but it’s like you know what I’ll pay a little extra cause I don’t want that other figure because I would literally give that away . Great video keep up the great work. I definitely want the sabertooth and I need the broode wolverine,open clause hands and playing cards. Never let a Two pack stop you from getting the figure you want.

One thing that softens the blow of the Sabretooth 2 pack is that the Logan looks to be a new sculpt for the body as well as using the Fox movie Logan’s claws which were done great! I actually definitely don’t mind getting the Logan with him

There's was a fairly popular after market wing set made for that falcon cap the first time he released. Hasbro basically improved on that 3D printed set.

I get what you're saying about the 2 packs. But Wolverine is arguably the most popular Marvel character. I'm a Captain America fan. I have like, 17+ different Captain America figures (including MCU). I think there are people who will want the Wolverine figures. The Sam Wilson Cap looks great. I wish the "Hail Hydra" Cap had a 2-part shield like in the comics. But that doesn't look like it will happen.

As a big wolverine fan myself, none of these figs do it for me. I would have prefered a regular 80s wolverine instead of the brood wolverine. The body mould with the brown suit looks awesome but all the brood stuff sorta ruins it for me. Maybe its just me but i find civilian wolverine boring

I completely agree that Hasbro trying to push multipacks feels real scummy. I didn't buy Renew your vows, Daredevil 3 pack, Destroyer, and refuse to support this kind of business practice. BTW, shouldn't these multipacks be offered at a slightly discounted price, considering Hasbro saves on packaging and usually involves heavy reuse? This rule applys to virtually all other consumer products, just not Hasbro's. Viper 3 pack really rubbed me the wrong way with $90 MSRP. That's $30 each 20% more expensive for an old figure! What kind of company does this? With so many competitors offering great products and consumers having more options now, this is not the way to go, if Hasbro wants to survive. I will continue to speak with my wallet.

My prediction: Deadpool 3 Marvel Legends wave would be released in late-2024 or early-2025 along with selected What If...? Season 2, Echo, Agatha, Eyes of Wakanda, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man & Marvel Zombies waves.

No Dave, do not keep the low volume! I had to really crank the volume on my computer, so everything else was so loud! 😂

A little extra that was also part of my comment where I discuss each figure shown in the video: " Wow! That was a lot to discuss! So I'm probably going to at least try to get Sabretooth and Psylocke who look really cool to me, and then maybe (but probably unlikely) to get Captain America, and possibly Lilandra if I see some more images but there is a good chance I might skip that too. I'm looking for Deathbird and Psylocke looks quite close to Deathbird there, and even if Deathbird was released, I'd still likely want that version of Psylocke also to represent lots of characters potentially. With the G.I. Joe Classified releases, I might just get Big Boa, but the second one I might get (but also might not get) is the Techno-Viper, and then finally maybe the Navy Seal Diver looking guy (possibly even to represent a version of DC's Black Manta and other characters). All these releases make it all the more likely that I'll be cancelling all the Green Goblin pre-orders, all the Spider-Man pre-orders (but not Tombstone or Jack O'Lantern), and as much as I possibly can to make room for some of these "rip-off" two-packs with awesome single figures in them. I also purchased the new VHS Morph figure for 34 something Canadian dollars (which I think you should also as an annoying channel mascot for Wolverine to fawn over, maybe in Patreon ads) and I'm negotiating a deal that might include a McFarlane Platinum Brainiac (since I like figures to be a little more eccentric looking) and McFarlane Vampire Batman (since I like horror figures and scary, but still good looking, figures). Thank you to anyone who read this and also enjoyed reading this! I'd love to hear from anyone regarding their thoughts on these figures and also their thoughts on the way David discussed them, I am so glad that he was expressive and shared all his honest feelings and reactions which pretty much totally seemed to match my own regarding every single item, which was enjoyable for me to see! "

I'm thinking the cloaks on psylocke, lilandra and red widow are going to be a hindrance to the shoulder articulation. Also it's a shame red widow isn't on the anniversary widow buck but again there's little point when the cloaks will hinder its movement. They all look good though.

Only looking to get two Angels for the wings. They’re going to be great for some custom projects

I'm with you, Dave. If I don't like both figures in a 2 pack, I just won't buy it. I never got the improved Venom or Doc Ock for the same reasons

A couple better ideas for a Lilandra 2-pack would have been to include either Deathbird or Professor X and have it not be a "Wolverine" set. I don't mind it as it is and actually plan on getting it, but it could have been better. I'm a bit more ambivalent about the Psylocke and Wolverine 2 pack.It's a step closer to giving us a Psylocke in her original costume, but they're not quite there yet. I might consider it if it pops up on sale at some point. I'm also really hoping that we get a Rachel Summers. Hopefully a red hound-suit version with tattooed and "regular" heads. I'd finally be able to complete my Excalibur team!

Love that Angel.

I will say, in defense of the two packs, they all make sense other than Brood Wolverine with Lilandra. Lilandra should have come with a version of Professor X, Deathbird, or if they really wanted to be lazy, a re-release of Gladiator.

Funnily enough, I'm fine with my old Toybiz movie Sabretooth since I always liked that 'civilian' look to him, but that 'cowboy' Logan looks really nice. The latter is what I'd actually want from that 2-pack, so I could probably buy it cheap off someone who just wants that Sabretooth!

Wolverine in the Fang costume would've been the better choice, for Lilandra. ;)

I agree with you on the two packs that they just need to stop unless it makes real good sense like the Joe Fix It one. I feel the same way with the five packs they did awhile back with Pretty Boy which was a figure I wanted but had to pass because of money. Just makes me pass up on team building seeing them go this route. Angel looks really good and I may pickup at a later date. The rest is pretty much a pass unless I catch them on sale somewhere.

It make sense that a company that's loosing money on this Marvel franchise would like to double their income by putting highly anticipated figures with another less wanted, to both force the full price on the one they know it wouldn't sell on its own and to ensure they're selling 2x times in a single sale to regain the money they loss. I'll buy the ones I really want and then buy the other ones that are on discount down the road.

The money only doubles if the same number of people buy them. I know I’ll be passing on figures because they’re in two packs that I would have bought if they were separate

I’ll probably end up with the Sabertooth and Cowboy Logan two pack not just for Sabertooth. I have the original cowboy Logan but lost the open hands. I’ve been wanting to make either a civilian or bar display and I want Logan there, holding either a beer or a cigar. Also, not upset about the Angel but I would’ve preferred an X-force Archangel from that era. The Uncanny X-force team is almost complete except for him and Nightcrawlwer.

Fan channel, includes all the online retailers that aren't mega corporations. So, Nerdzoic, Big Bad Toy Store, Toy Snowman. This is actually a good thing. I never want to give my business to Hasbro Pulse, either, and I don't have to with these!

Also, it's not a repainted ninja Wolverine. This is a far superior sculpt that's pinless and those head sculpts are amazing. That said, I'm not getting it. Totally agree on not forcing people to buy 2 unrelated figures in such a 2-pack.

I have been waiting forever for this angel figure! I never started an xmen collection just because he wasn't made. Couldn't finish a classic xmen team. This might push me into collecting xmen now. Honestly,I do like the brood Wolverine more than most people might.
