Oh I forgot to mention and I dont think you did either.... there were also Target Circle rewards. Mine was $15 off a $130 purchase so that brought El Dorado down further.

Good analysis on the Corvette over the Fortress, last December, when both had like 60 day backorders at Lego, I flipped the Corvette for a more descent margin, and at a much higher velocity than the Fortress, and I recall thinking at the time, that I probably wouldn't invest in the Fortress for retirement. The Corvette is a much better gifting set for older adults at Christmas time, and the fortress is overpriced at msrp, by quite a bit in my opinion.

Haha hopefully not! But even if they do, buying at significant discounts is reducing our risk in case we have to sell near MSRP. No problem 🫡

I’ll be at your level one day with being able to purchase in large amounts. I did end up getting only 3 Cody helmets, but I’m the little guy in the room. Time and patience. Thanks for the videos.

I purchased the Corvette, Marvel Minifig pack, Dom's Charger, and the Galaxy Explorer. I realize the last two could be gotten cheaper previously, but I missed out on them before retirement for my personal collection, so I was excited to get them at the price they were at.

Just saw the video went to go get Cody. They had four in stock…. They literally sold out, as I’m checking out… completely forgot definitely needed a heads up.

Quick question. If you use gift cards from card cookie how do you get credit card points too?

You get credit card cash back when you purchase the gift cards

not good for investors, mainly good for the common man(woman) to affords some of those bigger sets. I was finally able to justify Eldorado

Ah dang! Cody initially sold out after a day, but there has been stock coming in each morning and sometimes throughout the day. So I’d keep checking the listing and you may catch some 👍

I’m hoping the edorado fortress goes on sale again, I went to target to get the 3 that were in stock at my target and the employee most likely had his buddy in the back buy it because told me someone else had bought as soon as he walked up to them… if they didn’t store them in the back I wouldn’t have been at the mercy of the employee to be a honest person lol

They did sell out of the Clone Commander Cody Helmet and El Dorado Fortress during the first day, but every morning new supply has become available. If you’re still looking to pick some up, I’d check the listing often and you may be able to catch some

The days of buying at 20% off for investing are over, but if you’re doing your research to find under supplied sets in relation to the demand and buying at significant discounts, there’s still plenty of money to be made

thank you for your useful and challenging work in creating these videos...in Italy investing in Lego is more complicated..there are much fewer discounts than in the USA..and people are not willing to spend a lot of money on a set after a only one year after the set is withdrawn... the profit comes almost exclusively from knowing how to take advantage of the best discounts... doubling the investment is almost impossible but by purchasing a good price you can get a decent 50% profit... which is not so bad...
