I use peanut butter to get the sticky stuff of everything. Just rub it on with cloth . Works great and no chemicals involved. In fact I just used it on a antique wood piece that had duct tape residue.

The Mexican bowl is a "Wow" piece! Anytime an object or a photo has you making up stories about it it is worth more. Great party piece. You could pass it around and everyone has to make up a story about it's surface design.

FYI: Information from Kovels about Relpo: "Relpo, short for the Reliable Glassware & Pottery Co., was the sales division of Samson Import Co., a Chicago importer. Samson was founded by Samuel Krivit in 1933 and Relpo was started by his son, Jerome. The Krivits, like other American importers, bought ceramics from Japan, including lady head vases and figurine planters." I would guess they bought pottery and glass from many countries.

Yes, Roseville Pottery was always more about art pottery and RRPCo: Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery Co made utilitarian pottery. Their pieces are nothing alike. The confusion comes when newbies see Roseville, OH on the bottom of RRPCo pieces. There were a number of pottery manufacturers in and around Roseville, OH all operating at the same time. Thanks for clarifying that for people starting out.

The prices in Pennsylvania must be vastly different. Some of the items you buy for 2.99 would be $6.99 to $19.99 and I am in Portland Oregon.

Linda Carlson - Yep! I’m in the suburbs of NYC (about 30 miles from midtown) & the Goodwills here are in economically depressed areas. The prices are so insane; $9.99 for something that deserves to be in landfill as much as I hate doing that! Plastic junk starts @ $9.99. Ours have so many class action suits going because of their hiring practices, as well as where the $ actually goes- not even 10% is going to community programs. Each one is run differently, so you need to find the HQ for your area to make complaints as direct complaints do nothing. It’s really sad as they don’t give an eff about the environment😢 it’s all about greed😡! XXX J. 😘🧡😻😻

They have a lot of ritual type stuff they do in Mexico and in Central America. I can't remember the artists name but if it's the same one I'm thinking of he's also famous for painting on a type of tree bark. We have a painting he did on wooden cross its beautiful. They brought back quiet a few paintings this man did! Good luck!

The Mexico bowls I think go for around 25 to 30 dollars from what I saw. I liked it and did some looking yesterday after your thrift. Maybe you will find out different but that's what I found, now I really have to get to what I needed to do first. See the rest later!!!!

The scene on the bowl is a traditional tradition where the single women and men hold hands and run under the veil. Which is called "La Vibora De La Mar". I think that's it depicting in the painting

The carved wooden bottle opener is Porsgrund from Norway. They are mostly known for their porcelain. The company started in 1885. Very interesting piece you have there. P.S. I am Norwegian and have a lot of Porsgrund work! Edited to add that I have never seen woodwork from this company. You may have something special. You should email a photo to the company and ask!!! Please give an update!😃

Porsgrund is a community in Norway, best known or its pottery, founded in 1885. It is on th coast in Northern Norway in the Telemark area, which is why the bottle opener's carving is of a fisherman, no doubt

Somebody else said this - I like your haircut and highlights, too. Also, you mentioned getting the sticker off with hot water. Have you ever used "goo-gone" or almond oil/coconut oil to remove residue? I use it all the time. Then i wipe it off with an alcohol pad (nurse, i always have them in my pocket)
