Those birds are good luck 🍀 😅
Adam, since you had good success in targeting Halibut and Ling Cod one might get the impression that those fish are easy to catch, when actually it can be quite the opposite. You have put an awful lot of hours in on the water to make your success. 😊 Hope you Panama trip is great. It might help to watch watch Elias fishing did on his trip down there.

I'm so excited watching you catch those really nice fish. Was the tide changing when you started catching them ? You hardly ever say where you are fishing when out on the ocean, but I could tell you where out of Half Moon bay this time. Great job !

Sad!! CDFW Closes Nearshore Groundfish Fishery In Mendocino, San Francisco, And Central Management Areas on September 1, 2023.
I love getting bit on a bait most people would consider an awesome catch… Ilan and I caught some monster Calicos on Yellowtail size mackerel baits, and a sea lion 😂 I’ve been in love with the knocker rig for live bait… similar to the Carolina but no swivel, weight (lighter the Carolina) bouncing off the top hook

Smashed it! I would like to know more about your drop shot rigged
What kind of stringer are you using to leave the fish in the water. what is it called exactly and where can i get it?
What kind of fishing rig do you use? I’ve never caught a halibut but I’d like to give it a try 👏👏👏
What rod and reel are you using
What fishing rods do you use?
I need to get out with you soon. Havent been on the yak most the butt season.
💛...how would you describe the different head-shakes, or is it something that has to be experienced?...
@DieHardFishing

There is more bounce back with a halibut. Its hard to describe in words, definitely easier to experience first hand
Not sure I like the way that seagull was eyeing your bait bucket 😆

@@DieHardFishing Adam I just rent my rod and reels. I buy my lures there at the store. It’s the only time I get to fish the ocean. Just listen to the guides. Dakota is excellent. You will find the hardest thing to do is wait when getting a run. Usually 10 to 15 seconds before reeling down on the conventional setup. I still have not got a Cubera yet. You will have an awesome time. The food is second to none and all the beer one can drink. Tight lines, can’t wait to see your videos from the trip

So this is in San Francisco Bay?
What gear are you using. 😊
Nice catch! But I hoped you would've released that big old magnificent Halibut. It was around 20 and 30 years old probably.
Is this near hmb
Very Cool !
Is this the bay or hmb
What kind line and what size do you use?
Where are u fishing in Cali?
I cannot see in the video but where exactly does the trap/treble hook go, in the belly, is it better under or on top? I finally caught two halibuts(about 14-17 inches each, no legal size yet) last weekend off the pier. One of live bait(smelt) and one on Berkeley's pink and white 5 inch gulp bait grub! Finally after 2-3 years off and on(i fish once every month or two 😢) thanks to u and all the youtubers for showing how its done!

I'm really interested in that trip , Are you bringing your own gear or renting there? Do you bring your own kayak or do you use there's? And if you don't mind sharing the price?
