Unhauling books is such a therapeutic thing to do (for me at least)
Unhauls are actually good because its kind of you are helping others to read. I've also donated some of my old books to libraries. Its a great practice. Love your explanations on each book about why you are unhauling them.☺❤
Lately I've being unhauling sooo many books and giving them to my cousin's, now I have more space for more books
Neil Gaiman is one if my favourite authors, but I was so happy when you talked about getting rid of his books. Not every author is everyone's cup of tea and that is okay, thanks for saying that!

If you listened to The Diviners in English, it actually only had one narrator! January Lavoy is INSANELY talented.

I have started adding Emily’s most disappointing books to my TBR lol
Just did a massive book decluttering myself and my shelves are so much roomier, haha. Also, I love those earrings!
Unhauls are so cathartic, need to do one myself!
1) I love your accent! 2) I love historical fiction, but hate WW2 books. There are soooo many of them. Your local library will be glad to get those!
I love your book unhauls! Always so thoughtful 😁
Im just happy that John Dies at the End is still collecting dust on your shelf and there’s still a slim chance that you’d read it one day lol
You really just hyped me for the shelf reorganization video!!!
I just got rid of 100 books off of my shelves. It was the toughest decision ever because so many of them have such beautiful covers, but I probably won't ever reread them!
I love that dress, it's so pretty and springy 😊
Watching unhauls is very stressful cause you’re like rooting for your favorite book that Emily hauled 3 years ago but haven’t read yet to survive the annual unhaul lmao

I don't get rid of many books I haven't read so your fav should be safe lol
What a refreshing unhaul! You know what you like and you like what you like. I get tired of the overly apologetic unhauls because nobody should look at their books and feel burdened. ❤️
I love wuthering heights and I’m glad you are letting it go when you didn’t like it, so it can find new readers. I’d love to have your edition of Robin Hobb’s books cause I love it and my version has the ugliest covers 😅🤣. Someone will love it.
Always love a good unhaul. Decluttering always feels so satisfying! I had The Unseen World on my May TBR and then never got around to reading it. Perhaps I won't bother now, haha.
The book before "Doctor Sleep" is "The Shining" made more famous by the movie of the same name directed by Stanley Kubrick who also directed 2001.

Omg your hair *.* GOALS. I would read my way through the most boring books known to humanity if it could get me hair that long and beautiful
I just donated some old books to a new little library nook I found in my neighborhood! I found it on a walk, one of those “take a book, leave a book” places. It made me feel so good and I hope the neighborhood kids like them!
My favorite part of the year, wouhouuu!
I have such a hard time unhauling books. This video gives me strength!
do you think you reorganize your selves will you find more books to get rid of?
Okay you have given me the courage to finally do a book unhaul myself! HA I already can think of at least ten that are getting the boot!
I would love going for a library Sale near you. Neil Gaiman is a hit and miss for me.
Great unhaul! I have a bag full of books I've unhauled months ago that I never find the time to donate when we're not in lockdown :P I always find it interesting when someone's keeping criteria is whether they'll re-read a book... I rarely re-read so it's definitely not a consideration for me!
You encouraged me to get rid of some books too! Including my copy of Nevernight that I've held onto for years for some reason, even though I'd decided I'd never read the rest...
Instead of unhauling books, like I should have done, my response to running out of shelf space was to create 3m high shelves going around my entire room
I love unhauls so much

Same! So satisfying!!
i just recently unhauled Ninth House, Nevernight series & Assasins Apprentice 😁😁 glad to see them on your list too 🙊🙊
Hi Emily, where do you un haul your books at? I would like to but the places I went to were not accepting donations. I also live in mtl if that helps.
I'm in the "Simplifying my life" mood. Keep what you love, give the rest away. I'd like to try to donate my books to a women's shelter.
I would be interested to know if you would enjoy The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah because I did not enjoy the book like everyone else, and I also did not like The Book Thief, the same as you.
When I read the title of this video I thought it said it was a haul of 60 books and I thought that must have been one heck of a library sale. Lol
Your hair has gotten so long! 🌸 also yay for reorganizing vids 🤗
Diviners audiobook had only one narrator, January LaVoy. But she sounded like a full cast. One of the best narrators out there.
Emily, où donnes-tu tes livres? À une bibliothèque municipale? J’aimerais aussi faire du ménage dans ma collection et je ne sais pas vraiment vers qui me tourner!
For historical fiction try Desiree by Anne Marie Selinko. In fantasy I recommend The Alchemaster's Apprentice, Rumo, and The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers. For Steampunk try The Parasol Protectorate and Custard Protocol series by Gail Carriger and if there is a genre for ethics with dragons in an alternate history setting go with Naomi Novik's Temereaire series. In meta fiction Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next reigns supreme. If you want go get into the disc world start with Snuff for heart wrenching drama or The Monstrous Regiment for a book with an implicit soundtrack by Johann Strauss the younger.
I still remember your big book challenge with The Stand, Swan Song and how you really caught a cold while reading The Stand

‘The Wheel of Whatever.’ Same.
Oh God. I NEED to clean out my bookshelf a bit. And because of the pandemic I've accumulated even more books (damn you book store sales with cheap delivery!), even if my reading pace has gone up, I've mostly been reading books on my tablet and the physical book pile is just growing :D
I could listen to you speak French forever. I have no idea what you're saying but it sounds lovely. I love that you incorporate some French books in your videos too. Keep it up, please. :)

I'd recommend the Shadow and Bone series then Six of Crows. If you read Six of Crows first, you won't understand the magic system as well.
The Wheel of Whatever 😂😂
omg where are your earrings from??
I’m unhauling my copies of Robert Galbraith’s last two books in the strike series which I was not fan of these two as well as an alchemy of masques and mirrors which was just hard too get through.

You reminded me that I have like 30+ books on my shelves I neither read nor liked... but unhauling is more difficult where I'm from lol

I also used to live in a city which had a huge charity book sale every year and I would find out about it about it first in the local newspaper. When it comes to the Jane series, the second one was by far the best to me. Apparently, the authors are making a new series with Mary instead of Jane, I'm personally quite excited about it. :)
Have you considered giving or selling books to your viewers? I'd definitely snatch some of these because they aren't really available in stores and I don't like trusting used books online. I tend not to buy new books if it I don't have to

where does all the books you get rid off go?

Doctor Sleep was AMAZING
Noooo Geiman and King 😭 i understand but still. Also love The six of Crows
Why does this edition of Dorian Gray have Liszt on the cover though? 😂
whats the chapter of Dorian Gray everyone hates?
I have a fear of unhauling books! Pre smart phones and book tracking apps I unhauled a lot of my books I read in my teens and twenties and I really regret it now as I hardly remember them and a lot are not stocked in the bookstores anymore. I want to revisit them but can't. So now Iook at my shelves and even though I have limited space I just cannot face getting rid of any!
You're awesome!
I wish i could just have those books you unhauled
It's so fun seeing you roast books. I tried to read a book called Crave and all I have to say is stay away from it, the writing and the story were a big no for me.
I've decided to get rid of most of my Shadowhunters books. Except for The Bane Chronicles and the Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, because Magnus and Simon are the only characters I like from those books. I'm also getting rid of my copies of the Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout, I haven't reread either series' in years, and don't think I will. If I have an urge to, I can always borrow them from the library. I can't take them to my library yet, because they aren't open for donations right now, so they'll sit in my closet for however long.

Honestly, it's because of his money 100%.
I didn’t enjoy the Riyria Revelations nearly as much as everyone in my Goodreads group (he’s a favorite author for a lot of my peers), so it was nice to see that someone else wasn’t blown away by them either (the 5th book was the best one). For me they read a little… young? I started Robin Hobb’s books before there were that many of them and I feel like that helped me continue beyond the first trilogy. It’s by far the weakest. If you even continue, the Tawny Man trilogy, particularly the last book, is easily one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read.

It 100% did! There's a specific scene in the beginning of the first book when they're getting attacked by thief that was... so cringy lol I can see why a 12yo boy would like it but it didn't read like an adult book at all.
