When Jesse asked “If anyone wants to have a tea party, and read dark academia” I am all about that tea party. ☕️🫖 your videos always make my day! 🤟

fun duology recommendation, that i haven't seen anywhere! The Queen's Rising Duology (second book: The Queen's Resistance). It is a calm fantasy, with scenes that literally left me SHOOK!! the romance is more evident in book two, cause the love interest is given his own POV chapters, but the entire duology is about self-recognition, and Brienna (main character), finding where she belongs. it may be a little slow at the beginning, but as soon as pg 58 comes... *choo choo* climb aboard the adventure express! if you want, you can read the first book on it's own, but my favorite is Queen's Resistance! ENJOY!!
And here I am thinking that nothing can make this day any better! Thank you, Jesse! Love love love your videos❤️🌺❤️

This is a compliment: you add caffeine personified. Also, if you are looking for educational historical fiction, “We are Not Free” by Traci Chee is awesome!

One of my favorite memoirs is In Order to Live by Yeonmi Park. It is about how she escaped North Korea and her struggles making it to South Korea. Also Under the Same Sky that follows Joseph Kim who fled as well. Both of those were amazing!
Your video just reminded me of books that are lost in my TBR Village!! 😅😅 Also I have been drowning in Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. I am halfway through. It's getting interesting! I can't seem to read any faster though. I feel so exhausted sitting around and doing nothing all the time !!!

Yeah, I went into The Poppy War completely unprepared and oof. I mean, it was a five star read but you definitely need to be emotionally prepared. I just finished White Smoke by Tiffany D Jackson and now I'm reading The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina by Zoraida Córdova.
I loved The Darkest Part of the Forest too. It is actually my favourite of Holly Black's books, and I wish I saw more people talking about it.
Crying in H Mart is a super good memoir. The audiobook is amazing because it’s told by the author!

I saw you mention it on your Instagram when you wear talking about memoirs, but Jesse you would LOVE Crying in H-Mart. It’s so amazing and the writing is fantastic. I’ve been reading it at work when we are slow and I’m in love.
Nice haul! I recently picked up Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh, because it's one of my favs. Also People we meet on vacation by Emily Henry, which I'm currently reading and really loving
The Devil Makes Three and The Wolf and The Woodsman are STUNNING! I LOVED The Anthropocene Reviewed, and I do plan on going to the Bookspolion live stream!
So excited you received the Night Circus box. This is my favorite book it has so many good quotes. I was bummed that I missed out on the box. It was sold out by the time I got it in my cart. Enjoy!
The opening of this video really made my day
Why is Jesse's reaction to the mirror so relatable?
I have a series curse too! I’ve been focusing on standalones and contemporaries now.
acsdal is AMAZING. my most favorite fantasy
I'd love to see vlogs for this
Im 6 min and 11 seconds in when i realized that I'm smiling cuss your smiling...love your engery!!!
I mean, I haven't read it yet, but a nonfiction I am interested in is Smoke Gets in Your Eyes & Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty. I know you have an interest in books about death, so this may be something to look into. Also, I don't know if you have read it yet, but if are looking for other memories then On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous is a good way to go, or (another book I haven't read but I am interested in) In the Dream house. The first is by Ocean Vuong and the second by Carmen Maria Machado.
I have been reading Bone Criers Moon and I Can't put it down!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

I would recommend Bomb by Steve Sheinkin. It’s a Nonfiction book about the Manhattan Project, but it doesn’t feel at all like a boring text book. It’s really interesting! Thank you for another amazing video that makes me feel inspired to go read!

Torn about how I feel about this book. Had some things about it that I didn’t like but find myself thinking about it a lot after finishing it. Had things that I loved about it as well. Hey I have an idea, what if we turn November into a Catch Up Month, a Readathon where we read all the things we need to catch up on before the end of the year?
6:45 The last 2 lines sound exactly like a lyric from the song Northbound by Grace Petrie. I don’t know how famous she is and the first part is not there but what a coincidence!
I wish international shipping didn't cost so much 😭 these books are gorgeous!
I think you should read “In the Time of the Butterflies” it is a book based on the Mirabal sisters under Trujillo’s dictatorship in the Dominican Republic. I’m currently reading this now and it is very intriguing!
I came as soon as I heard! And since you talked about needing time, I´d like to suggest the book How to Stop Time, by Matt Haig. It´s honestly one of my all time favorites, it´s moving and beautifully written. And there may be some tips on how to stop time. :)

Nonfiction rec: Factfullness by Hans Rosling I rarely enjoy non fiction but this one changed my overall view of the world in a way nothing else has. It basically covers our world view and why it is the way it is. A lot about humanity and missinformation in our day to day lives. ♥️

Wonderful video! But I also just felt the need to say how sad it made me to hear you talk so down about yourself throughout the video because that is definitely NOT what I see. You’re such a ray of sunshine and such a beautiful human being. You’re so handsome and your smile is contagious. Our eyes and brain have a funny way of distorting what we truly look like. Trust me when I say I do not see you the way you see yourself. You a very attractive and good looking person. Don’t let your brain lie to you 💜💖 I hope you enjoy all of the books you got and I can’t wait to see more videos from you!
