Tail wagging is a sign of excitement, not friendliness in this instance. Yes, dog is playing with the owner just as it would play with members of her pack and tails would wag due to excitement.

She is beautiful. I've just shared this to my 12 year old who is obsessed with dogs as much as me! We've never seen this breed before. She is so careful playful, given her strength. I used to have a Rottweiler. She was a big softie.

Seeing her I understand why my South African countrymen bread the Boerboel to defend them against lions and other predators.

That's a strong man, most people will be scared shitless just when she's kidding around

I've never had a dog this big, but I've had two dogs that qualify as "big and scary" and they both played with me just like this. This video makes me bittersweet. We put Red Dog down in April of 2020. I could get him all worked up, then calm him down, then rile him up over and over again. He would growl just like this, but it was an act and he'd quiet down on command. Red was the dog we had when my two sons were toddlers, and he was endlessly patient with them. The big rough dogs are the most loving and the sweetest.

Morlock that is mean to act like someone who is sad about there dog did it for no reason his dog could of been dying which is suffering.so don't go their unless you know what you are saying it sounds like a illiterate thing to say .when dogs are dying you can smell them going.Then is that not suffering enough for the dog to smell itself decomposing

I had a German shepherd that was big but not THIS big, he broke my back. This one has so much muscle. Thank God she has a good temperament.

@@obriantomlinson2776 depending on their diet they can look leaner and more defined , when we had our old neighbour Houston and they played and wrestled every day molly was 7 kg or 15lbs lighter and more defined , since then she has bulked up

I'm so happy to see other people like me to have such a strong relationship to their dogs! This dog, I think it should be a bullmastiff, could easily hurt his owner, but he knows the borders and respect his master.

I used to do the same thing with my English Mastif! They are such gentle giants. Could easily flatten me, but would always be so mindful to never hurt me. I would pretend sometimes like I got hurt, and he'd immediately stop playing and put his head between my knees like to say "Sorry". Just amazing how deeply they connect and bond with you. I miss him every single day. 6 years, and I still haven't been able to get over losing him. It's beyond devastating.

Awww!!! What a beautiful girl. I've only had one large breed dog and that was a Rottweiler. My vet said Clyde was on the "massive" end of the scale as he stayed around 153 lbs (all muscle)and his head was huge. He also was as gentle as as a butterfly and loved his Dad.

We will try she doesn’t really like strangers approaching us to confidently she sees them as a threat and will growl or bark , it happens pretty much daily But she will sniff people and check them out on her terms

Beautiful boerboel. I'm south African and my uncle used to have a lot of rottis on his farm up in the natal Midlands. The farm next door bred boerboels. They had this 1 Male boerboel that was just under 95 kgs. This thing had a head like a crocodile 😂. To this day I have never seen a dog that size or been so nervous around a dog ever like that again. I say nervous because this guys dogs used to roam in like a pack on this farm with the other boerboels toprotect livestock from jackals, hyenas etc. They have this hierarchy structure that develops an They become very territorial. I was just incredibly thankful that the owner was with us and that they were well disciplined 😂

She is a beautiful pet and I dare ANYONE to hurt you or your family. I wished I was young to have a pet like that. No need to be afraid as long as she’s around! Beautiful!

The boerboel was bred I'm South Africa to keep farmers safe on the farms and to guard livestock as the hand reared lambs are often kept near the home in a camp in lambing season. These dogs are mighty they can break down a palisade fence if they are angry enough. I'm glad the boerboel is gaining popularity in other countries. Just proves what great dogs they are if trained correctly.

What a big loveable lug of a pup! Life goals to have a pack of these. I would need to be rich to afford the food bill though.

Adorable!! How much does he weigh! And please, learn everything you can about bloat, it's imperative you know the signs so you could get help as quick as possible! Also, I bought a stretcher for my Mastiff. If you ever have an emergency you'll never be able to lift him by yourself! The stretcher has two wheels on one side like a hand truck, just lay it next to the dog, roll him on it and strap him in, then you can wheel it. If there's two people there are handles on both ends so you can carry it. Sorry for butting in, but you just never know, and need to be ready just in case!! Have a blast with your buddy, and I pray he has a long happy life!!

I once had an unfortunate incident where 2 boerboels of an irresponsible owner charged my young GSD, I peppersprayed them both out of self defense but what immediatly stood out to me was how they reacted to the pepperspray. They didnt whine or look like they were in pain. They just stopped, turned around went back. These are TOUGH dogs, glad to see you're raising it well.

shes gentle but can be a killing machine! Shes so elegant!

A very wholesome video of a man wrestling with a monster.

I go to people’s homes for my job and meeting dogs is my favorite part. I always get the folks who are used to people being scared of their big dogs so they always put them up or warn me but I’m always “if they’re not too hyper let that baby out!” Only concern with hyper is getting some work done. Love the big baby’s. Get a good head scratch in and you have a new best friend. The best part is when they start bringing you their toys.

Had 2 Bullmastiff's back-to-back, that BOTH passed away from Lymphoma when they JUST turned 5 yrs old. My favorite breed, but my heart was so broken I couldn't get another yet, so I have XL American Bullies right now.

I got a boerboel as well,he's only 7 months old,but absolutely massive.He is really playful,but really strong as well😂

Molly is an absolutely stunning dog! I had an English mastiff who was medium sized. Molly is twice as large as Bella was. She’s just a magnificent mama and I adore your bond with her!

In fact, I'd be willing to bet that if you introduced a Chi into your family, THAT dog would be top dog and put poor Molly "in her place". :/ I have a 15-20lb runt Frenchie girl that's Alpha to all of my XL Bullies!!! :P lol

Wow, what a magnificent specimen, incredible. I will not complain about my Spaniel and Yorkie taking up all the space on the bed anymore

I have a Dane, and a Mastiff. Molly looks like both of them combined. Good Lord.

Mines a goo bucket like that!! Adorable!! Silly the way mine snarls and growls like a hell creature when playing catch and tuggy but just playing tail wagging, hopping around!

That is one powerful looking pup!

My goodness what a beautiful and strong animal. I played with my pit bull who was 120 lbs very similarly and he loved it. Thanks for the memories
