That’s an original superstar barbie 1977! If you look at the back of her ears you should see holes where thread went through to keep her hair in place. The other dolls such as roller skating barbie and bridal barbie did not have the holes behind the ear.

Wow~ what a small detail 😝 I really did not know this. I only can see a whole (with a small white threat still in it) above her right ear. Nothing "behind" the ears an nothing behind/ above the left ear. 🤔 But I will see this as the proof that this is Superstar Barbie 😉 Thank you so much 💗💗💗

I just love the peaches and cream barbie. Never had her growing up but I remember a friend had at least the dress and I was always wanting to put it on my barbie 😂💜

Peaches and Cream is hands down my favorite 80s Barbie 😍🍑 The dress is just sooo beautiful, the cut, the material, the styling options the stole gibes you 💖💖💖 I would have loved it as a child. The type if dress you always put in a doll, again and again 🤩

@LauSkypainter I think dance magic barbie is probably my favorite 80s barbie. Such a pretty dress and that same type of material on it as on the bodice of peaches and cream 💜💜

Oh wow. So many great Barbies!!! Yes the sticky hair comes from the glue in the heads. The hair soaks the melted glue in and gets sticky. The best way to remove it easy and complete is WD40 the silikon spray. It takes out all the stickyness and the hair will be very soft again. Spray the wet hair with it and massage it in. It will get very gelly and you can wash it out then. You need hot water to get it out. Then just wash them regular again with shampoo to get the silicon smell out. Usually it removes the complete stickyness at once. If it was already very strong you might need to do it again. But its very easy and helps a lot. Newer Barbies already have that. The Dreamhouse dolls or Fashionistas and Monster High. I done it already several times now and it works so good 🙂 Ok but now I continue your amazing Barbie haul video 😀🙂

Yes, I've heard that from collectors of more modern dolls already ("glucy bitch" or something similar) but it is weird to me that exactly this lot of 80s dolls has the issue🤔 while no other 80s or 90s dolls ever had this in my collection. So I wonder if that really is the same issue as with Monster High etc. Is WD40 available in Germany? Silikon Spray? Sorry, I've never heard if this before😅 But thanks for the tip. 👍 Maybe I get myself this stuffin case I come across more dolls with the issue. But the baby powder also worked ok😉

Yeah, interestng that after her, they used all sorts of other face moulds for Christie.(Superstar face, Steffi face) but it took them until the late 80s to give her a new unique face just for her. I wonder why. Maybe the original Christie face was not so popular wirh childnen? Maybe she looked too sleepy?😂 But I'm super proud to own her❣

Last weekend at a flea market I found Hollywood hair Barbie (w/o her outfit but I have it!) for $2. The next day I found dream date Barbie, dream date PJ, twirly curls Barbie, and Beauty Sercets Barbie all with their outfits and looking like they just came out of the box. I paid $6.75 apiece! I also got a new inbox Scooter doll from 1964 for $20! It was a one of a kind weekend haul!

@@LauSkypainter one thing my grandpa told me was avoid limited edition collectors edition toys. Why? Because he said everyone and his sister will buy them up and avoid the non collector toys and often many of those common ones are more rare then the limited edition toys. They not only are rarer but end up in sales bins. Nobody wanted them but that also means no one has them either. And that makes toys hot when they are not common in in every collection. Wise advice

It was like getting a little teaser 😁 I have an ever after high doll which also has the sticky hair problem :/ But its none that's on display. Its in my stash of dolls to potentially customize... Whenever I manage to finally get into that 😂

Lovely Barbies ❤! The Barbie which has the lilac long dress on 40:10 is not the Barbie which comes with that dress, you were right! I had it when I was a kid - the original Barbie which wore that dress is 1983 Fashion Play Barbie (7193), she had curly hair and light blue eyeshadow, very fab, if you google her, you will find the photo how she looked like 😊! My school friend had Peaches n Cream, I think her shoes were the same color as the dress, lighter but everything else you got is original Peaches n Cream 😍

Lau! I officially want a new video about your Barbie collection on january 2024. You bought so many Barbies. And I want to tell you that you inspired to 'rescue' my old Barbies. Yes, it could very well be from Peaches'n Cream Barbie but also from many others. This is the typical Superstar jewelery which was used on many dolls since 1977. Some had it in different colors or some with dangly elements but these earrings/ rings and this necklace was used countless times in the early Superstar era up until the late 80s. So I think there is no real way to know which of these Barbies the necklace really came from. E.g. Dream Glow also had the same.

You know , of course I would never in million years cut Barbies hair BUT at least a girl or a boy who did that haircut to Golden dream Barbie did not a bad Job and Goldren dream Barbie looks so much 70s "The Farrah flip " . So I rhink thats ok

Well, I would prefer to keep my double/ variant Dream Glow girls that I showed in this video. My 3rd Dream Glow has a very loose head and is on the wrong body. And you deserve better😅 I wouldn't feel good selling you this one. And in gereral instead of selling I would rather like to trade toys. Do you have Instagram? You can contact me there. But in general I don't have many double dolls. And most of them have some issues😬
