Hi Texan. As a Californian, Texas is my second favorite state. I'm curious, do you have your own Huell Howser in your state? I would enjoy learning more about niche and regional cultures

I never leave In-N-Out feeling as gross and disgusting like when I leave a McDonald's. The produce and beef is high quality. And at great prices!

McDonalds doesn't use good meat and Big Mac burgers have filler in their meat which leaves a bad after feeling in your belly. Kinda nauseousness. I used to be turned off to all hamburgers because of that feeling after eating McDonalds. Then found out about the bad quality of their ingredients and the use of "red slime". When In-N-Out started really expanding in Cali and other state in the west southwest n the late 90s I found out from a friend who was a fan that they used ground chuck and never frozen, and other fresh ingredients, it was like discovering hamburgers all over again. When I moved to Texas for on Cali, I only ate In-N-Out burgers on visits, never any on Texas. Had a What-a-Burger once or twice but not too impressed. Now there are In-N-Outs all over Texas and only eat my burgers there and P.Terrys, a small local Austin chain that uses high quality ingredients. I'm really happy the quality of their burgers are consistent in different locations around the west.

@@richardcogbill6791 I used to work for a food technology lab and would take samples to be tested back at the lab. One of our clients was a company named Golden State Meat co in Calif. who was a supplier for McDonalds. I do have to say it was very high quality beef they used. It was shipped frozen so not as fresh as in and out though.

I feel the exact same way after eating at in and out....nourished but not stuffed.

I miss Huell I always would watch his program when I lived in California.

This is pure Cali Gold. Huell Howser is a true legend!

Huell Howser ...I remember an episode where he said "tell me more about your rocks!" on an episode of a rock collector. RIP my dude you were entertaining.

The guy on the fries seems like a hard working associate. Someone should give him a raise.

Growing up in Nevada I ate plenty of In'N'Out. It was easily the best hamburger in the state. I don't know how many there are in the Las Vegas area but they're always packed. I've heard it's that way everywhere. They also got a few in Reno about ten years back. Regional chains always seem better than national. I wonder why that is. Better quality control, right? Must be. This Huell Howser character, wow. I heard about him on Loveline and he does not disappoint. I'm fascinated by local TV.

If I may I suggest that in n out burgers restaurant needs udi's gluten free burger buns, and dairy free cheese slices for the protein style lettuce wrap with beef, onions, tomatoes, and pickles, and ketchup to put in udi's gluten free burger buns, and dairy free cheese slices.

We really need you guys up here in WA. State , Please! 2017 .

We should be proud and thankful not only for In-N-Out but for but the kind of always smiling and happy service almost unique in the U.S., After traveling many countries (specially in Europe) you can never get this type level of service. specially smiling !

The off-menu items are mostly just variations on the basic menu.

This Video shows how much the food has changed and how much better it looks now

This one is in Baldwin Park, CA. This is the original location. (The original is actually a 100 ft away but had to move because of the freeway construction)

I thought the Original was in San Fernando right off the freeway. from the Freeway I could see All the people hanging out CARS, in the parking lot. but I guess it's gone now.

Jess Cast As far as i know, the first one was actually on the 10 fwy in baldwin park but it had to move it to the side of the freeway because it was in the way during construction years ago. And recently again for more space.

@@KentDodson Yes! Coincidentally, I just passed thru there last night!! but it was kinda cold and foggy. so no crowds. But during the summer it's a hangout for local kids and the lines indeed are long.

I miss this. I used to live in LA, now I live in NY. In N Out was so good and now I have to eat shitty McDonald's like please take me back.

I found out about animal style by hearing someone in front of me order it when I was a kid when it was my turn I asked the cashier what it was, she told me what it was about and the rest is history.

There was a lot of things to love about Huell....great man and very humble.One of the things I admired about him is his sexual preference did not define his identity.

I miss Huel Howser, part Pollyanna and part Gomer Pyle.

i ordered a vegetarian N N out buger in 1980 asked for a buger without the meat.and the guy said u can take it out ..no i dont want the meat to touch my cheese..he said ok and i got it.....in. Baldwin Park. i was a vegitarian for 7 years in So. Lake Tahoe..but had to stop bc i wasnt getting enough protein in my body very dangerious..my dr.. said ur bidy needs so much protein daily..so now i use protein powder in my smoothies...God Bless you..Jesus Loves you beloveds.

The secret menu items is just like asking for a burger with or without certain things

Every single time I eat there..any time of the day or night. The food is the same and Consistent..best fast food around with a smile. Keep it family business and never a franchise.

2019 i went to San Diego and ate in the Encinitas Branch and on 2020 i was in Vegas and i ate In n Out Burgers again.. is a vice.!!!

Everything off the menu is a derivative of the things on the menu (except pickles, I suppose). The point is to have a small inventory, not necessarily a small menu.

So many folks in the comments are saying the same thing. In-N-Outs interiors are pretty much that same from location to location, but the exteriors may be a little different with regional landscaping. They lost a lot of palm trees here in Texas during our statewide deep freeze we had in Feb 2021.
