I am African American born 1969. I have tears in my eyes because we have been lied to about our people from the continent. But my Ancestors are your stolen family members and I am happy we have that lineage with you. My relative in South Carolina today hold onto our Yoruba Spirituality. Thank you for this documentary

Firstly, I want to thank the host and the son of the late actor for the wonderful work of eliciting the stage life of this great great actor - Pa Hubert Ogunde. I was really elated, full of nostalgia and was very proud of our legend. Omo Ijebu alare, omo Gbegande. May his great soul continue to rest in peace, amen. Is it the voice or the act that I would talk about. I remember when I was young and would quickly finish my chores and would run to my father's 'the palour' to watch the drama that would commence with series of singing and dancing. It was a great entertainment for us. When I heard the songs which I sang along (I know most of his songs), I felt an air of satisfaction in my tummy. I also like 'mama iye mire yen', mama Adesewa and mama 'efuntajobo', they were the indefatigable top casts apart from Papa Ogunde. Pa had a very attractive and captivating voice. Also, I remember vividly when Mama Adesewa passed away. It was a very sad moment in every household. I felt it more because I went to the same school as some of her children. They were really handsome and vibrant like Papa. Please try and resuscitate and continue his great work. Osi Ijebu agbeni o, ase. His plays/films were traditional, authentic and very entertaining. He truly deserves a top posthumous award.
