@@chrislawson3536 There are different sizes of each style. The Marble League uses 16mm diameter marbles, while the Hubelino tournament has 22mm.

As someone who’s joined only after your debut on Last Week Tonight, I’m amazed to see how far you’ve come.

We need to acknowledge that crazy comeback by the minty maniacs at the very beginning though. They dropped from funnel 4 to funnel 7 in just a few seconds, and then held in funnel 7 to take back the lead and eventually finish in a close 2nd. That was a crazy good play.

Oh minty maniacs. You took me on a wild ride and broke my heart.

Watching reruns of old events because I can't wait for the 2019 Marblympics on April 19th!

The Black Jacks completely choked away this tournament. They started off with a good lead and seemingly fell asleep midway through. Very disappointed.

Coming in from 2021 as I had a wave of nastalgia and its absolutely amazing how far this channel has gone. I love the old content due to the simplicity of it (and the colour!) But how complex the courses have gotten is phenomenal! I also forget how old some of the current teams are ❤

Poor violets put in such a hard try getting some medals at the end there, but just couldn't bump their standings.. still was a joy to root for them and the wisps this tournament!

i agree! I'm so glad i found this channel on a Sand Rally video during my insomnia at 3am...now i'm addicted! me and my friends even started betting on teams during the marblelympics at school because the commentary is so good, we can't help but be stuck in the hype of cheering for a team!

Rewatched this for the first time today for a JMR trivia thing and I'm astonished at how little I remember of this. This was an incredible tournament.

It would be kinda cool if in future marble leagues, these old teams like the blackjacks or team phoenix could eventually have the possibility to compete as well. If that were to occur though, some of their designs would have to be altered, as some of them resemble currently existing teams way too much. For example the ruby rollers and rojo rollers would be very difficult to tell apart if raced against one another in the same heat.

The Rubies were really close, despite what the points say. Green Gang had a 3.58 placing avg vs Ruby Roller's 3.83. All that separated them was The Green Gang having 1 more win than the Ruby Rollers.

I just watched this. I have seen why this channel has so many subscriptions and fans. Y'all don't sit on your laurels. Y'all improve, advance and have become more exciting. Kudos to Jelle and company.

Best Christmas present! (Even though it's a bit late!)

It is amazing to me how much the production value has improved for this channel in the last few years. This is still great, but the new stuff is just amazing.

If you're planning on doing an Hubelino tournament this year, maybe you could consider to give the winner an entry ticket to the 2020 Marblelympics. And I think it would be nice to see a team made of Sand Marble Rally participants to try out in the Marblelympics 2020 qualifiers.

It's hard being a valiant violet fan 🙃

In 2018 they were first into the 2nd last funnel and won the race, Raspberry Racers did something similar in the MarbleLympics

Yesh, that was exciting. Well done Minty Maniacs even though you stepped aside at the final moment. Come backs are often more entertaining than even a winning streak. I need a banana.

In my heart, they're the 3rd most consistent team with 4 top 3's and 5 top 5's out of 12 games... It's simply due to the scoring method that they're rated 7th ;;

Minty Maniacs performance went downhill after few events and still manage to join Marble League. Ruby Rollers should be added to Marble League qualifiers

The thing is that the Ruby Rollers would be confused with the Rojo Rollers, Bluefastics with the Oceanics, Team Phoenix with Team Primary, and Green Gang with Team Momo. Valiant Violets were meant to join 2018, but looked too similar to grey teams like the Shining Swarm, so they apparently merged with the Bluefastics to get the Raspberry Racers. Black Jacks and Golden Wisps (now Golden Orbs) were both in the 2018 qualifiers, but both missed out and then retired for Hubelino Tournament 2018. Minty Maniacs also retired originally (even though they qualified in 2018), but returned to the showdown with the Bumblebees for coming 2nd and 1st respectively. EDIT: The Black Jacks have returned to the ML too.

Team Phoenix is SO overrated they have 2 wins, 2 Top 3's, and the other 8 GAMES they were 6-8th and somehow got carried to 4th?? They're tied with Valiant Violets, the consistently worst team for Average Placings!

A little confused by the last round. You said the team who knocks the red ball to the other teams side got the point, however, half the rounds didn't give the teams any points for hitting the red ball to the other side (particularly the tied game that got the Black jacks eliminated >:(

The red ball needs to fall into the opposite blue zone for the point to be awarded, it doesn't give any point if it stays on the main platform.

Oh my, in the first event Minty Maniacs managed to stay in the 7th funnel for a whopping 47 seconds.

I was rooting for Minty Maniacs and The Green Gang. Minty Maniacs were so good at the beginning, darn it. 😂 At least the Green Gang did a solid job. Congratz!
