Similar looking in several ways, but definitely not the same. A Chinese copy of a Chinese made tool or made by the same Chinese company that makes the OTC model, but made somewhat different for the MATCO branding.

Pretty funny how Astro and OTC have been ahead of the game at a third of the cost.
I have a honest question I’ve been a mechanic for 19 years and I always use a floor press to press in bearings what is the advantage to this tool if you still have to take the knuckle off of the car can you leave the knuckle on the car What if the car has an axle can you just remove the axle and leave the knuckle on the car

Yes, the advantage of any of these types of pullers (otc, oem, mac) is you can leave the knuckle on the car. The axle does have to be set aside, which may mean the knuckle has to be partially disconnected (often from the top). Going with one of these over a press can be a personal preference (I prefer them), or in some cases it does save a bit of time. Saves space too, depending on shop setup.

Hi, for me it’s a time saver and a big help with mobile service, I recommend bringing a second thrust bearing just in case, excellent quality tool, ty Bob,

And for people who repair their own cars and don't own a press this tool is good option.

And there are cheaper similar sets around that do the job. Some are bad some are good.
