Thanks for the video. The battery although still good in our M5 had bulged the case apart, replaced following your video and all seems good.

Everything went smooth with your guide, thanks! Battery was a bit harder, but went well with some alcohol and heat from below the case. Instead of glue, I mounted the Display with special 3M double sided display mounting tape (width 1.5mm). BTW: Battery type and procedure also applies 1:1 to MediaPad M5 "Pro" (CMR-AL19).

Спасибо, друг за видео! Классно, хоть и не знаю английского! Один вопрос. Если снова понадобится замена батареи, клей, которым ты приклеил экран, можно как-то отклеить, оторвать?
The bottom part is easy to clean, but the black tape on the sides of the screen is easy to mistake for glue, and once you puncture them your screen is history.
just a normal isopropyl alcohol 70 will do?

Hey! Arround 180-200 degrees for 1-2min....keep a distance of 4-5cm at least....
The only fun part of that job is taking the old battery outside when you are done and trying to get it to ignite.

No, I use 99,8% Isopropyl Alcohol

Thanks for the video, I got my pad apart and changed out the battery and charger port. Unfortunately it's still dead. 😭😭

Sorry to hear that. It could be that your motherboard is faulty or the battery. Try disconnecting the battery and just plug the charger in and see if the Huawei Logo appears. If yes, maybe you have a totaly discharged battery or the battery is dead.

@@CrocFIX I'm hoping it's something fixable, tried without the battery and still no luck. With the new charger board I now get a serial port appear when I connect to the PC but no sign of it under ADB DEVICES. I wonder if it was trying to do an update or something and then died, more investigating required. The battery was getting a bit ropey so it's still good that I found your video 😁

@@CrocFIX I had not done anything myself but these Huawei pads were getting quite a few mini updates recently. I'm hoping one tried to automatically install then it died half way through. If that's the case I may be able to save it, if not that's means it's dead dead.

@@nebular-nerd Hard to say if the update was the fault or just coincidence that it died at this time. Do you get a Lenovo logo on the screen somehow or your computer recognizes the tablet?

@@gameplay20120030 Check the voltage on the battery, check the usb port for dirt. That are the basics...for more repair you will need a technician or more experience. Good luck
