Mat i will be a college student this year and a capable laptop for a college student is a must in order to complete whatever tasks like assignments and course work given , so i currently planning to look for a laptop priced around 600 bucks and the best laptop at this price range will be the Acer aspire e15 ,the problem is can this laptop last at least 5 years so that I can finish my degree.please reply me

Hey Matthew,thanks for the amazing video and comparison! What do you think about the new model with Ryzen 5 4600H model, will it suffer with this cooling solution?

Only the 13 inch model seems to be available here in Norway. The 14" seems like a really good sweet spot between the D models and the X pro. Hopefully it will come here soon.

Huawei laptop is really good!It's no worse than an apple notebook and the price is reasonable. I love Huawei.

Hi Matthew! A few days ago I bought it and I noticed that when occupying the touchpad it feels slightly "loose" in addition to hearing the sound of that same movement, I mean that it feels as if it was not well fixed to the chassis of the bottom where are the left and right clicks Is it normal to come like this? or Is there a defect with my machine? Thank you!

@@MatthewMoniz hmm, I have my doubts. The fact you need a Huawei phone for it to work does limit it significantly. But also considering there is the 'Your Phone' features built into Windows 10 that just needs the devices on the same network, i do wonder if it's anything more than a gimmick.

That bgm from the p30 video .it's my most favorite.😍😍😍 I am a Huawei fanboy and this thing looks and performs really good.

11 hours on battery? So what - 5W in total on average? What's that? Idling on desktop?

I've got the old mate book x pro and it's still a great laptop

the battery will depend on the usage of the device. If you use the network + emulator ( Mobile Dev) battery will not gonna last.

Plastic trackpad is almost a deal breaker. After getting my first laptop with a glass trackpad recently (Surface laptop) I don't ever want to go back to plastic

I've been so close to buying the mate book x pro so many times... I have a Huawei phone so the share would work ... But the thing is I almost never need a laptop, I have a pretty good gaming desktop computer when I mobile emails and media consumption I'm pretty well handled with the phone, especially Huawei phones I can connect it to a monitor and keyboard and it has a mobile desktop on it...it would just be a cool paperweight 95% of the time

Hoping you will get your hands on the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro... It just arrived in the US so I haven't seen it in person, but Samsung's teaser video is SICK.

Undervolted my Matebook X Pro and got like 1/4 longer batterylife and overheating issues pretty much gone. Same can be surely done to this Matebook.

I like the Web cam not to be on top of the display!

When will it be available in the US?

Most people do not use the webcam. It puzzles me why reviewers still focus on that. Maybe because they often record themselves? BTW great review. I like that you open up the notebook to show and explain what parts can be expanded in the future.

I wouldn't use either for premiere you need something a bit more beefy

You need to use fonts to correctly perceive resolution differences, NOT pictures. Good review apart from that gaffe.

I really think for daily use (work or study or something else), 2018 matebook x pro with i7 is almost perfect. It's not cheap though, I have to say, but the product is definitely worth that.

EMUI is not as bad as it used to be. I know that the icons look out of place but you can always change those using the themes app for a better clean or stock look. It surely packs in some really great features.

Matebook X Pro 2019 supports 4-lane thunderbolt 3. Matebook X Pro 2018 supports 2-lane.
