Hello, I wanna buy Huawei matebook 13 R7-4800H. Is it good for drawing graphic in corldraw, sai Paint tool and Adobe Photoshop? Also for using CAD programs?🤔☺️

What long does the battery last in average?

Do you also have the issue with the storage disk partitions where the storage space is split into 2 separate disk drives instead of just 1? Furthermore, all the files and programs are automatically save on to the smaller drive. Thanks!

So far, nope. But partitions in itself is something you can do and undo. As for where the files automatically go, it usually defaults to the C drive, no matter is it smaller or bigger than the other partition, presumably D. Just always rmb to check where it is being installed before pressing okay.

great review man! i'm currently really stuck choosing between this and the surface laptop 3 (both i7, 16gb) basically caught between build quality/durability and battery in the surface vs dedicated gpu in the huawei. gonna be used for music production and occasionally video editing and I'll be travelling a lot with it. If you're looking at video editing, at all, even if just a little, the Huawei will perform much better, just simply because there's a GPU in it, and most apps will make use of CUDA. The Huawei will also provide you with more ports, and perhaps ease of charge, with it being USB-C.

I’d choose Surface Laptop 3. It is more expensive, but after using both, I unfortunately have to say Matebook is worse. It’s getting warm and noisy only a few minutes after turning it on and I was using it in cold room and on the table, surfing on the internet (Pages like google or instagram, not even KZread). While the surface laptop is 100% silent and pretty cold after a few hours of working (few apps, KZread in the background, on my lap!). Also the display and battery in the surface are 100 times better. How noisy is matebook 13 while normal, everyday use (like writing e-mails)? Much noisier than my parents Asus laptop which they have for 10 years when i try to turn on games and lay with it on my blanket (it is laggy, non-usable trash now and back then...). So, the choice is yours. I returned my matebook after just week of using.

by using Davinci Resolve, how was the experience ? or Premiere Pro 2020 ? i assume i5 is much slower in it ? im more considering the video editing performance. in 4K video editing and exporting. But Davinci need great Graphics Card isit ?

As mentioned, it was an okay experience. I would stay away from 4K editing, and only stick to 1080p for the most part. If you're able to get an i7, it'll perform better, but just a tad, as it's a U-series. The H-series would be what you really want, or a Ryzen 7 or 9. As for the GPU, Resolve do like a beefy GPU, and especially VRAM, as it'll help with the amount of effects and layers your can stack in your timeline, while previewing without drop in frames. For the final render however, the biggest impact is still the CPU. So in short, if you're looking at this laptop, I would say stick 1080p, and relatively simple edits for best results.

It depends on which you prefer, Windows or MacOS. When comparing with MacBooks, always ask that question first and foremost. If you don't need MacOS, then the MateBook 13 is certainly of better value.

In the UK we don't get 16gb i5 option only 8gb i5. If we want 16gb we have upgrade to the i7 which is a price hike of £200

It could, but it's not the best at it. You'll be better off with a laptop with a beefy RTX GPU for that CUDA acceleration in your programs.

Unfortunately, Huawei Matebook 13 does not support HDMI port and HDMI port function, which means Type C does not support it and it does not support thunderbolt port as well.

No HDMI port kinda deal breaker, only 3 ports?

What about gaming like GTA V or FIFA new versions?

Between the two, technically one isn’t ‘better’ than the other. If you use Windows, go for MateBook 13. If you use MacOS, go for MacBook 13 with the M1 chip. If you don’t mind either OS, arguably the MacBook 13 with the M1 chip will perform better. Most reviews out there are pretty positive. But as mentioned, it depends on which OS you prefer. The ‘better’ laptop isn’t going to be useful if it can’t run the apps you want.

Can you help me regarding this note book, when i 1st turn it on, the screen brightness is very good, then after a short while the screen Dims it self, is there a way of stopping it Dim, ????

If you’ve turned off Auto Brightness and that still happens, it’s an innate function of Windows which changes the contrast and curve of the display, with regards to black and white levels. Easily noticeable if you just look at a white page, and switch to a black page, to and fro. If you want to change this, we would suggest you to head over to the forums, for this requires quite some manual editing. Hope that clarifies!

Should be able to handle relatively simple streams, though for editing, stick to 1080p. Again, it can do it, just it's not the best at it.

I just bought it, the ryzen version. Simply perfect for normal work, browsing, programming and trading. Try to get it as cheap as possible and it's a a steal. I got mine a couple of days ago for around €470

For some reason mine doesn’t have a touch screen but it has the same specs as yours and is 2020. I think in some markets they don’t include a touch screen. Any comment on this?

It's good!!! really good. I got it a week ago and it performs really well. The battery is the downside. It only lasts a little over 5hrs under intensive use. For office work it lasts 6-7hrs. This is my experience.

I recently bought this matebook, but im having some over heating issues and also i dont think the battery lasts as much as id like, is someone else experiencing this problems or did i get a bad one?

also, i do use it in the lowest brightness setting and always on power saving mode and another thing (and maybe im wrong) mine is 512 gb ssd but in the unit is divided in 2 different discs, is that normal?

It would seem that there's some issue with your unit, for we've never experienced such a drastic drop in performance. You might want to send it in for RMA. Though as for the SSD partition, that'll depend and vary from region to region.

Personally, I can't say for sure as I've not tried both. But with other laptops sporting the same i5 and i7, the performance is really similar for most tasks, so I would say there's a difference, but not that noticeable of a difference.

Hot as in touch? Or actually hot as in CPU temps? If it's the former, it's still natural and we would only suggest to always use the laptop on a clean and flat surface. If it's the latter, you might want to get it checked.

As mentioned in the video itself, strictly speaking, no. Because it's not a unibody construction. I did however also say that's it's about 90% there. It is a well built laptop, no doubt.

@@TECH360TV I just got mine and use it for several days now. My unit doesn't have touch screen unfortunately. My biggest complain about these laptop is its average battery life. I put my laptop to battery saving mode all the time, very light use like browsing , KZread , word processing and the screen brightness is around 50%, but i am struggle to get more than 6 hours of usage from full charge. Any suggestions? Though, it recharges quite fast.

We wouldn't really recommend for heavy use. Light and moderate is all right, but if you're doing any big projects or large client works, this wouldn't be enough.
