works for me, just changed for the first time in 4 years, bought the phone in 2016, took me around half an hour..the adhesive at the back of the battery is so hard to take out..but works anyway..thanks

Many thanks - just replaced the battery in my Huawei Mate 9 and it went exactly as you have in the video. The only difference is that the original battery was not stuck down with tape but some kind of gluey stuff, so I damaged the old battery a bit when taking it out (not that it mattered). I didn't bother putting in any tape for the new battery, and it works perfectly now. Only took about 45 minutes! I needed a really really really small screwdriver for the screws - the smallest I had. Just a bit bigger didn't work.

Great video.... but this was alot harder than it looks. The screws at the bottom were stripped and so I couldn't get them unscrewed. I had to actually drill them out. You guys are the pros!!! Thanks again for posting!!!!

Thank you very much! However, now that I've replaced my battery, my loudspeaker sounds very muted and tinny. Could I have damaged something, or is there a connection that I may have loosened? Please help if you have any ideas. Also, my charging connection seems to now be loose. Do you have any tips on how to make the connecting flex cable (inside the phone case) stay more firmly connected?

what is the brand of the industrial Glue you used for the screen?

Can you use the suction cups like you did on the Mate 8 battery replacement?

It's not easy to use suction cup on Mate 9 because the back cover is not flat enough.

hi i replaced lcd and everything worked. when i opened second time then screen working but no touch reaction. i checked milion times all cables, and everything seems ok. what can be a problem ?

There may be a small breakage on the touch screen cable. On the right side of the back of the lcd screen, there is a small yellow flex cable, that's the touch screen cable. Can you check that cable?

The Huawei Mate 10 battery fits and my phone turned on but when I plug in the phone to charge, it shows that is is charging but only for a second then the charging indicator disappears. I'll update once my phone dies and I try charging it.

mine is not turning on now how do you test before assembling

Nice Video but unreal. I try to open my Mate 9, but it is not possible :o( In the video it looks very easy but it isn't... The Mate 9 seems to be made for this. You have to buy a new one, when the accu dies..

It is not Huawei mate 9

After watching this, I've decided to just freaking buy a new 1.

what a user unfriendly phone. guess it is designed to be used and thrown away otherwise battery replacement should be made straight forward and simple without tools.
