How can you not love the sincerity of their relationship. 800 years of love from Hua Cheng. Xie Lian has the best on his side no matter thinks of him as a laughing stock. Only very few accepted Xie Lian for whom he is... a kind, honest and compassionate person. I think the only thing Hua Cheng fears is losing Xie Lian. PERIOD.

When Hua Cheng had that calm RAGE look on his face as Xie Lian left the burning Manor, I knew it was because he hated himself for hurting his god. He would let Xie Lian burn every single thing he's ever owned or ever even touched if it made Xie Lian happy, but hurting Xie Lian? Unforgivable, in his eyes. Except Xie Lian didn't even realize there was anything to forgive, because he knows Hua Cheng would never, could never hurt him on purpose, and besides, Xie Lian BURNED DOWN HIS HOUSE. It's so precious, how selfless they become where the other is concerned. "Nevermind my house, your arm!" "Nevermind my arm, your house!" AAAAAAUGH JUST KISS ABOUT IT ALREADY. Although, like you said, do they really even need to at this point? (..............yes absolutely)

We have just seen XL so upset with burning it down. We see HC just in the armery as it's burning ... he looks up at them and he's angry. yikes The fight scene was BRILLIANT

tgcf is my fav danmei/novel/donghua/everything basically and its been that way since i read it for the 1st time something like 3 years ago and i realized that sometimes i love them 'out of habit' and its when i see/read those kind of scenes again that i remember why i love them sm and like fall for them AGAIN. the "in-between" scenes are to me the most previous ones

Now, "you" are my inner thoughts, because I would react to those dialogue and tiny little details the exact same way!
