I was first itroduced to The Hu band 4 years ago because Dimash did a duet with another famous Mongolian throat singer, Tengli. This is of one my favorite songs, not just for the catchy beat but for the message. The black guitar like instrument is called Tovshuur and the 2 string horse head fiddle is the ancient Morin Khuur. The Hu band was invited to open for Metallica, ( in 2022 ?? 🤔) but they had clashing schedules and were unable to make it work. Other amazing songs by this band include "Wolf Totem", "Sad but True", "Black Thunder" and softer ballads ....
