Oh boy, those dissonances that squeeze the heart and slowly melt into perfect triads! They give me goosebumps all over. The singers have so much skill. They hit their notes truly and hold them long. You could never get such effects with classically trained singers who ruin every chord by wobbling so much you can't tell what notes they are singing. These barbershoppers make the air vibrate with pleasure. I cannot believe how much delight there is in a choir doing that. I feel as a purring cat feels when its master strokes it. How is it that an art designed for the ears can make my innards turn over, my eyes close with awe, and the hairs on my arms and neck stand up?

Love it! Have been singing with a ladies' barbershop group for about 4 months and am enjoying it so much.

This a fantastic tag, but it is even better with a couple of changes. I love to add the optional move on the bass part from the C to an F on the beautifu - ul. I also prefer this tag without the baritone move because the added ninth chord at the end is amazing to the point where I actually think the resolution takes away from the tag.

It usually bugs me when people critique things and flex by adding "this would be better if...blah blah blah". But dang me I totally agree, especially on the bari holding on that luscious add9.

@@scrotmaster7 Exactly! I'm the same way; I really appreciate the original way that things are written. But that add 9.... "luscious" is the perfect word

Dude the bari moving down to their 1 after the lock of the other three harmonies is the most beautiful things I've heard

How do they pick up and remember their parts so quickly after hearing them only once or twice? I always need several more times.

@Mohnish Sharma It's been five months, and while I'm nowhere near as good as I'd like to be, there's no denying I've gotten better. You're right, practice is the answer.
