    Any Gentile who accepts the Seven Noahide Commandments, and is careful to observe them, is truly a pious individual of the nations of the world, and merits an eternal portion in the future World to Come. (And with this merit, the person will be included in the Resurrection of the Dead). This applies only if he accepts them and does them because the Holy One, blessed be He, commanded them in the Torah, and made it known through Moses our teacher, that the Children of Noah were previously commanded to fulfill them.

    So what about this ? : What does lamo mean in Isaiah 53:8? Answer: In Isaiah 53:8, the Gentile spokesperson continues to acknowledge the fault of the nations for the trials and tribulations suffered by the servant, Israel, during his passage through history (cf. Isaiah 52:1, 15-53:1-2). Thus, he states: "As a result of the transgression of my people [the Gentile nations] he [Israel] has been afflicted." The literal translation of' this verse is: "From the transgression of' my people there has been affliction to him [or "to them"]." The poetic form of lahem, lamo, "to them," is used in this verse in reference to a collective noun (cf. Genesis 9:26). Lamo is rendered "to him" as it refers to the collective noun, "suffering servant of the Lord," that is, the Jewish people. In such an instance, lamo can be translated in the singular although it must always be understood to be in the plural in relation to what numerically constitutes the entity given the appellative "suffering servant of the Lord." The proper rendering of lamo is sometimes unclear. For example, there appears to be a Question on how to render lamo in the verse, "Then a man uses it [a tree] for fuel: and he takes it, and warms himself; he kindles it and bakes bread; he makes a god, and worships it; he makes it a carved image, and falls down lamo ["to them," alternately suggested "to it,"]" (Isaiah 44:15). Since the noun, "god," is in the singular it would seem to show that lamo can mean "to it" as an actual singular and not just when used as a collective noun. This is not the case. Although the prophet's words are in the singular he uses the poetic form lamo, "to them," to show that the content of his message is to be understood as being in the plural. The translator of the Hebrew, into the Greek Septuagint, understood this and rendered the verse accordingly: "That it might be for men to burn: and having taken part of it he warms himself; and they burn part of it; and bake loaves thereon; and the rest they make for themselves gods, and they worship them." The plural nature of the poetic form lamo is supported by the fifty four places it is used in the Hebrew Scriptures. That the plural lamo, in verse 8, refers to the suffering servant of the Lord as a collective noun excludes any possibility that it pertains to an individual. As a result, it cannot refer to Jesus. The suffering servant of the Lord is a collective noun and, as such, does not refer to a specific Israelite. © Gerald Sigal

  • @bb1111116

    @bb1111116

    Жыл бұрын

    * First question; who is the Servant? - Isaiah 49:6 says; *"6. And He said, "It is too light for you to be My servant, to establish the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the besieged of Israel, but I will make you a light of nations, so that My salvation shall be until the end of the earth.""* * Who is the servant in Isaiah 49:6? - It comes from Isaiah 49:3 when God says; *“3. And He said to me, "You are My servant, Israel, about whom I will boast."* * That is the context of the word "servant" in Isaiah 49:6. It comes from the word "servant" in Isaiah 49:3 which was stated by God. Same book (Isaiah), same chapter (49), same word (servant) just 3 verses apart (3 & 6) stated by God. * If a person wants to understand the word of God in Isaiah, they should know the basic context presented by God for each verse. * The servant in Isaiah is Israel. It is also being identified as a person, Jacob. The concepts go together. The servant = Israel which in the poetic language of Isaiah can be described as a person, Jacob. - (Isaiah 41:8-9) *"But you, O Israel, My servant, Jacob, you whom I have chosen, offspring of Abraham who loved Me...and to whom I shall say: 'You are my servant' - I have chosen you and not rejected you."* - (Isaiah 44:1) *"But hear now Jacob, My servant, and Israel whom I have chosen!"* - (Isaiah 44:21) *"Remember these things, Jacob and Israel, for you are My servant: I fashioned you to be My servant: Israel do not forget Me!"* - (Isaiah 45:4) *"..for the sake of My servant Jacob and Israel, My chosen one: I have proclaimed you by name..."* * Now that it is clearly established that the Servant in Isaiah is Israel, I can move to the next question. @Michael Dant wrote; *”Isaiah 49:6 where the servant is said to raise up the tribes of Jacob and bring back the remnant of Israel?”* * How can a part of Israel bring back the rest of Israel? The Servant that God is referring to are the righteous of Israel. * The righteous are the Israel who will bring back the rest of the tribes of Israel. - Where is the explicit connection between righteousness and Israel? - It is in Isaiah 51:1-3 *“1 Hearken to Me, you pursuers of righteousness, you seekers of the Lord; look at the rock whence you were hewn and at the hole of the pit whence you were dug.* *2 Look at Abraham your father and at Sarah who bore you, for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him and made him many.* *3 For the Lord shall console Zion,…”* * 51:1 is about people who are pursuing righteousness. - 51:2 says those people (who are pursuing righteousness) are the descendants of Abraham and Sarah which indicates that they are Israelites. - 51:3 makes is clear that God is referring to Zion which is another name for Israel. * What is happening to this righteous servant, Israel? - This righteious servant, Israel, will realize that it will do more than bring back tribes which have strayed and tribes which were lost. - Israel, the righteous servant, will become a light for the Gentiles, to bring a message of salvation to all of humanity. * You may ask a question about how Israel can be the servant to itself? - In Isaiah 49:6 notice the words; "bring back the besieged of Israel." Bringing back a group, means there are those who will be brought back. But that also means there is another group which does not need to be brought back. Meaning, there are two groups. And one group in Israel influenced the rest of Israel. * I know a large group, like Israel, can reform or change itself. Examples of a large group changing itself comes from the many early Christian Church councils. A famous one is the Council of Nicea in 325 CE. In the first 600 years of Christianity, the Church through councils changed the rest of the Church multiple times. It is a fact that the Church changed the Church. And Israel will change Israel.

    Listen to me, O islands, and hearken O distant regimes: the Lord summoned me from the belly; He mentioned my name from my mother’s womb. He made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He hid me; He made me like a smooth arrow, in His quiver He concealed me. He said to me: “You are My servant, Israel, in whom I take glory.” But I said, “I have toiled in vain and used up my strength for nothingness and naught; however, judgment is with the Lord and (the reward for) my accomplishments is with my God.” And now the Lord, who formed me from the belly to be a servant to Him, to restore Jacob unto Him, and Israel will be gathered unto Him and I was honored in the eyes of the Lord and my God was my strength. He said: “It is insufficient that you be a servant for Me to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the ruins of Israel; I will make you a light for the nations, so that My salvation may extend to the ends of the earth.” Who is this servant? At first glance, we would say that this is Isaiah. The prophet is described as one who is called from the womb (Jeremiah 1:4). The mouth of the prophet is the implement that God uses to accomplish His purpose (Jeremiah 1:9,10). Isaiah was first called to restore Israel to God (when he spoke to the Jews of his own generation), but ultimately, it is Isaiah who is the primary prophet called to bring the message of the Messianic era to all of mankind. It is Isaiah’s words that are written on the side of the U.N. building expressing man’s hope for a future of peace. And it is Isaiah’s metaphor of the lion lying with lamb that is most often used to describe the glorious plan that God has for all of humanity. Furthermore; the servant in this passage speaks for himself in the first person without being introduced in any way, which also leads us to believe that it is Isaiah who is talking. However; the servant is identified as “Israel” (verse 3). Israel is also called from the time of their formation (43:21; 44:2, 21, 24; 46:3). The servant of this passage is described as a “sword” and an “arrow” just as Israel is called the “armor-bearers of the Lord” (52:11) and they are set by God to be a “threshing board of many blades” (41:15). Just as this servant is sheltered in the shade of God’s hand so is Israel likewise sheltered (51:16). Just as the servant fears that his toil has been in vain so does Israel fear that their toil has been in vain (40:27). Just as the servant will bring light to the nations so will Israel bring light to the nations (60:3). And this passage is placed in the midst of a series of prophecies which are spoken for the encouragement of Israel (48:20; 49:14). The lines between the prophet and the nation are intentionally blurred. The encouragement to Israel is that in a certain sense they are the prophet of God. Just as the prophet carries God’s word so does Israel carry God’s word and just as the prophet is granted the strength of God’s word so is Israel granted the strength, the power and the eternal nature of God’s word (40:8).

    Ge:3:15: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Isa:53:10: Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. M't:26:39: And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. M't:27:46: And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Joh:19:30: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Any questions?

    There are several issues with the claims regarding Genesis 3:15: 1- The text itself never says that the seed is the messiah. This is complete eisegesis. 2- The common argument that follow is to say that Jesus crushed Satan. However, the text does not claim that the serpent is Satan. This is also eisegesis. Additionally, the serpent was cursed to walk on his belly, but contrary to that, God said to Satan, "Where are you coming from?" And Satan answered the Lord and said, "From going to and fro on the earth and from walking in it." 3- The term ‘seed of a woman does not refer to a virgin birth or the absence of a male parent. This is proven when we check the other times when the a woman’s seed is mentioned. And the angel of the Lord said to her, "I will greatly multiply your seed, and it will not be counted for abundance." Gen 16:10 Context: This verse refers to no specific person. Rather, the reference here is to a multitude of people - those emerging from Ishmael. And they blessed Rebecca and said to her, "Our sister, may you become thousands of myriads, and may your seed inherit the cities of their enemies." Gen 24:60 Context: This verse refers to no specific person. Rather, the reference here is to a multitude of people (those who will issue from Esau and Jacob). In fact, compare the wording of this verse to Genesis 22:17 below, where the same terminology (in Hebrew) is used regarding what the “seed” (of Abraham) will accomplish, clearly indicating a plurality And Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and he would say, "May the Lord grant you seed from this woman," because of the request which he had requested of the Lord, and they would go to his place. For the Lord remembered Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the lad Samuel grew up with the Lord. 1 Sam 2:20-21 Context: Verse 20 refers to no specific person. Rather, the reference here is to the five additional children (not any specific one of them) that she bore after the birth of Samuel, as noted in verse 21. And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son, and she named him Seth, for God has given me [Eve] other seed, instead of Abel, for Cain slew him. Gen 4:25 Context: This verse refers specifically to Seth. And she vowed a vow, and said: to Lord of Hosts, if You will look upon the affliction of Your bondswoman, and You will remember me, and You will not forget Your bondswoman and You will give Your bondswoman a man-child [Lit. male seed], and I shall give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head. 1 Sam 1:11 Context: This verse refers specifically to the (future) prophet Samuel, who is named later in the same chapter Consistently, the clear cases where we know who the seed of the woman is, it doesn’t refer to a virgin birth. I find the natural conclusion here is to say that Gen 3:15 bears to reference to a virgin birth either.

    @@j.braunstein4599 In my case 'seed of Eve' is referencing anyone that has a 5-fingered woman as a mother (and a 5-fingered man as a father). Giants in the Bible were people with 6-fingers per hand. Satan's plan was to kill all 5-fingered people so the 'seed of Eve' could never be born. Noah and his wife and 3 sons were the last 5-fingered people alive when the flood saved them from extermination. Re:12:3-4: And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

    @@spicychessThere is nothing wrong with my assessment, that means your end is where the 'flaw' is. How do you expect to have a better doctrine when you throw 1/3 of the book away? I'll do a better reply to your longer comment. Here is 'proof': Ge:3:15: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Isa:53:9-12: And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Joh:19:30: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. The division between the Scripture about the two bruises is found in Acts:10. The unclean food being made clean was the last act God did that was specifically to the 12 Tribes. Peter went with Gentiles and taught them about the kingdom of god in the form that we have that comes after that specific chapter. Paul had the very same messages for gentiles while the Apostles preached in Jerusalem until 70AD and then they also headed towards Rome as that was the first nation to receive the whole NT and having Jews who were already familiar with the OT. Re:16:17-21: And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. The 1,000 year reign then begins. Ge:3:16: Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Re:12:1: And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: Re:12:2: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. Isa:60:22: A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time. M't:22:30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. The increase in birth was increased because of the many deaths that would happen before the prophecy was fulfilled. The number of people that are resurrected at the Great White Throne will be the much larger number compared to who is alive for the 1,000 years. They are a static population because they are equal to angels and they are not given in marriage. They are shepherds and the flock is all the people born that also died because it was a sinful world. The first sacrifice saw one being rejected and the meat one accepted. Starting at the start of the 1,000 years the grain one will become acceptable because it is a sinless world and that same sacrifice will also be the norm for the era known as the new earth. The beginning comes as a flourish. How the 1/3 end up being alive at the end of the 7 vials being poured out Re:12:3: And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. Satan and all fallen angels have been around since their heaven began to form at the start if the 1st day of creation. The old earth theory would put it at 40BYA. They would have been around the earth and saw God at work. They would have been free to do whatever on Eden minus the Garden area. The destroyed monuments would have been in pristine condition for Adam and Eve;s children to find as they spread out over the earth.Those are the places that the Church will restore back to working condition as that will be what they do in the new earth. That is part of another topic. 7 heads should be the 7 laws from Re:21 as they were found guilty under that law when God judged the world before the flood. The grief He felt was because of what was being done to Adam and Eve's children. 10 horns is 10 languages and that is probably how the world is divided when the Beast from the Pit has 10 men acting as 10 nations during the 5th and 6th trumps. 7 crowns would show he was sinless and a king of sorts in the Kingdom of God. Re:12:4: And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. Only Satan was not put into the Pit during the flood. When Enoch had it in prophecy it was before the event, when Moses mentiones the same event it is in the past tense. Jude:1:14: And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, De:33:2: And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

    Re:12:5: And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. She is Mary, mother of Jesus, pretty much explains it all. Re:12:6: And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. The 'seed of Eve' from Ge:3:15 is also the mother of John the Baptist because the 3 1/2 years is from when John is called and when the cross takes place. The version found in the Gospel of John (the Baptist) Re:12:7: And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, Re:12:8: And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. Fallen angels are in the 'well without water' until the last one is released at the end of the 1,000 year reign. The Beast from the Pit and the False Prophet are sent to the fiery lake by Christ on the same day the 7th trump sounds. The 200M horsemen have their bones buried in Israel for the whole of the 1,000 years and then they are raised as Gog and sent to the fiery lake. Magog is a smoking hole that leads to where Satan is in chains, all remaining fallen angels will still be there, waiting for judgment. Re:12:9: And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Time from when Eve had daughters and the flood, bit more than 1,000 years. Only Satan failed to be put there as God had already determined when he would be sent to the Pit, equal to 1 day and then off to the lake for eternity. The fiery lake is another topic. Re:12:10: And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Re:12:11: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. The Saints mentioned by Enoch and Moses. Daniel called them holy Watchers. Re:12:12: Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. The day the 5th trump sounds in Re:9. The woman below is the Church and the 144,000 from the 12 Tribes. On the day the 7th trump sounds 2/3 f the living gentiles will be classified as goats and 1.3 will be the sheep from the Matt:25 prophecy about the judgment of the nations. The woman who wrote the Gospel of John (the Baptist) and Revelations is Mary of Bethany and she is the first person to be resurrected after the two witnesses and it is she alone that is standing on a mountain watching New Jerusalem to descend to this earth at the end of Revelations. She is His wife at that point, she is resurrected as His wife. Re:12:13: And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. Re:12:14: And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. Re:12:15: And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. Re:12:16: And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. Re:12:17: And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

So then in a fresh start for a Christian, we throw away the Bible we have, And then, what is the best Bible is for a Christian to get then, um, so we can read it, I myself have not so much money can't afford to get it wrong again, I have a NIV cost me $40 and I have a Hendrickson the complete Jewish study Bible hardback cover that cost me $90 Dr James D Tabor, has been researching the Christians Bible and the Jesus, and says that Jesus is not who we were told that he is in our Christians Bible, so you rabbi Tova Singer say this Too, but he says that we should read Mark to Evan see glimpses of the real story of Jesus of who he is, and the Muslims say, Allah, Jews say HaShem, I didn't and don't believe that Jesus is God, and Christians are saying that he's God??? Muslims say, that Jesus was a man who was a profit, just like Mohammed, and then they say, blessed be apon him, I don't know why, they say that to what they say is a profit, but they do say God most high, um, why do they say Allah Jews say HaShem is it the same word???
