As a lifelong Bond fan, the concept of Goldfinger and Dr. No essentially having a gang war and recruiting other Bond villains from across the eras was a stellar concept.

You know, the game maybe a little meh looking back now, but the idea is indeed golden, a rogue agent and his own raise to power in SPECTRE, they should really do a spin off movie about this kinda story.

The idea behind this game is awesome, playing as an evil version of Bond with multiple Bond villians fighting against each other.

Would make a great 3 part movie series. They could sell it if the rogue agent was a woman. "She was shot in the eye and while in the hospital Bond failed to protect her sister... Now she wants revenge and will Join up with the enemy to take down Bond. "

I loved this intro as a kid, the game is really fun

Yeah, pity its so underrated because everyone assumed it would be more like Bond games of old just because goldeneye was in the title. This is like if Bond went to the dark side which was the point that was lost on ALOT of people.

Anyone else think this game deserves a rerelease on the PSN?

I seriously cannot stop watching this video.

With an intro like this, I wanted this game to be a movie... Even though the host of villians would be a wierd idea, people could dig it.

In a parallel universe, James Bond is already dead.

This game was the key that unlocked my evil side, I always liked the idea of being overtly brutal to get through the game & its kinda like a pre Daniel Craig rouge agent kind of thing.

0:29 is the best part

The last (epilogue) mission should have been James Bond sent after GoldenEye at his retreat with a swarm of Mi6 agents only for your character to escape after setting off the OMEN.

I cant help but to agree with you. Goldeye Rogue Agent needs a reboot. I do like the game, personally, but i do not feel like a anti-hero when i play it. i just feel like a mercenary when i play it. and i would love a level that includes an assault on MI6 and maybe a level where you go against 007 maybe? since GoldenEye is basically a alternate universe of the 007 series whether or not killing Bond wouldnt impact the 007 game series. i think also making a level based on the cradle will work too.

golden eye is just bad ass, i wish the game waz better, with that intro, it could have made a awsome movie

yeah i didnt get why m16 were only featured at the begining. it would have been so much better if m16 were more related to the stor.y

Yup, because, in all 007 movies, JB is the hero and the main character, but in this game the theme is the antithesis of 007, so instead of the good guy, is the villain, fascinating isn't it?

Ngl knowing Bond lore, i think the first of the two to break off from SPECTRE would be Goldfinger as I seriously feel Dr. No would still be overwhelmed by the former's massive wealth pool. Thats just me. 😂 I loved this concept as a teen but I felt it was not given much depth as I had hoped it would be and the villains were underutilized af.

It shocked me to see what I could do if I were to shut my moral compass off and indulde some of my darker aspects I learned I can be quite dark and ruthless when I had to I would love to see a reissue of golden eye rouge agent to simply see if a few years of getting kicked around has made me even darker

they've already made TWO GoldenEye reboots in Craig's days though. If you include this and GoldenEye 64, that's 4 games based on storyline. I think it's safe to say that there have been more than enough reboots.

Andrew Shaw Despite the fact that Goldeneye: Rogue Agent has next to nothing to do with Goldeneye(the inclusion of Xenia Onatopp is the only element from Goldeneye in the game), let alone the games based on it, so it doesn't really count. Goldeneye Reloaded I feel wouldn't be counted separately from the Wii remake since it is basically an improved and overhauled port of said remake. So only one reboot.

+Reluctant Warrior Ⓥ fair enough with rogue agent, but how do the other games have nothing to do with the storyline? Sure they have some differences, but they do still go along to the same storyline. I think they should go back to more unique Bond games like nightfire and everything or nothing or, in Craig's case making games in general for his movies

I loved this concept but was a mediocre game. It deserves a remake or reboot with added features to make you seem more like an anti-hero. A morality system would be perfect as well. And who else wants a mission where there is an assault at MI6?!

I too have a very very powerful dark side. it is ever growing stronger due to the ppl who i am around almost every day (but they follow me around like they are a boil on my ass) seeing Rogue Agent be rebooted to unleash its full potential.

yeah, same with me. Could kill ppl with anything available. my plan is to unleash mine once/if i do end up going to war at any time once i am in the army. the very large amount of my dark side comes from my recent past life that was passed on to me (idk if you believe in multiple lives or not) while a few minor parts are from my current life.
