Ross doesn't get the credit he deserves. He helped push for Vic and Bob on TV and always had programmes on c4 about Asian culture. That's a large chunk of my adolescence right there.

Even his good friend Samo is the same exact way. Would love to see them do a couple of movies together but one has to be a comedy. Cause Samo is as funny as Jackie. I remember how Chuck Norris tried to get Samo to be popular as an actor but never really successful back in the 80s & 90s. My guess it was his big size but to see a guy that size and move like he does by doing acrobatics is impressive. These two were/are much better actors than Bruce Lee imo. Bruce was a fighter who got into acting whereas Samo & Jackie were entertainers/actors using kung fu. There is one thing I'd love to see Jackie do is a musical. Cause that dude can sing!

you can just sense how genuinely intrigued and fascinated Jonathan is as Jackie shares, both, his career and life story. You can fake laughs as an intervieweing host but you can't fake body gestures and natural facial expressions. Look at the man, he is glowing

Jonathan has been a Jackie Chan fan for a long time at that point. He interviewed Jackie in the 80s for his show about unique & non-mainstream movies. This is basically Jonathan fanboying over Jackie.

@@lorenasuazo3338 His first language is Cantonese then Mandarin. Although they’re both Chinese dialects, majority of words are pronounced differently but spelt the same. It’s like an English Received Pronunciation compare to a strong Glaswegian accent. Jackie only started to learn English in the early 80’s when he was trying to break into the American market, even now he still struggles with an English script. We can forgive the guy as he brought so much enjoyment to us all and he speaks several more languages on top.

Fantastic interview! Jonathan Ross is one of the few talk show hosts who truly knows and admires all Jackie's work dating back to his early days in the 70s and 80s. For anyone here interested in Jackie's best work, both creatively and physically, watch all his Hong Kong films from the early 80s til the mid 90s. They are martial arts entertainment at it's highest and purest form. It's a shame that most of his Hollywood films were completely crap! He was heavily type-casted to dumb roles and wasn't given the creative control that made him an international movie star before Hollywood. Anyways, I could go on and on but, all in all Jackie's one of a kind and it's been a delight watching him master and reinvent his craft.
