    These guys Killed it on Letterman! That chorus is so raw. Definitely a Garage band but ohhhhhh, what a Garage Band. I really like these guys. Its all about the energy a band generates - forget about everything else.

    @domremiuk I wouldn't call either Brother or Oasis thieves, In my opinion, they both just have aspects of there influences in their music. This is what keeps good music alive and going. Sometimes, it doesn't work to do something completely new and you'll end up trapped in a box musically. At the end of the day, their both fucking great bands and hey, its only rock 'n' roll :)

    @twettach If you're going to start by equating "influenced by" with "derived from" and "derived from" with "copied from" then I don't suppose I have much reason to respond.

    @MsBoof12 The only difference between Brother and 'N Sync is that 'N Sync actually sold some records. Banquet is sitting on over a hundred copies of the last Brother single that they can't get rid of. They've sold five copies. Five. British people dislike this fake band more than anybody, just deal with it.

    @MsBoof12 You need to start reading your posts before you press the button. The gist of your first post was "people who dislike this band aren't British". If Britain liked this band then they would've had some actual success by now. Geffen bought their way onto magazine covers and flew them to festivals and for what? For none of their singles to chart and all of the comments on their paid NME articles to be British people making jokes about the fact that they were an emo band a year ago.

    Let's all hate a band because NME told us to...

    @lolsillymadchristian when have i actually said my opinion represents the whole of Britain? All I have done is write down MY opinion, which is what i'm entitled to do. There was no point in you even commenting on my original post, now do one.

    @lolsillymadchristian every single band is derivative. by subscribing to the goal of creating pop (pop as in popular) music, musicians are restrained, to one degree or another, by certain pre-defined conceptions. you don't have to be a musicologist with a degree to learn that even the historically sacred beatles were tied to this chain and heavily influenced by corporate action, particularly early on.

  • @lolsillymadchristian
    @lolsillymadchristian13 жыл бұрын

    @AlexLovesCrisps The Beatles made a bunch of songs that sounded like songs by other artists. That's not the point. The point is that Brother are corporate-created imitators of a band that was frequently accused of imitating. Who rips off a band that was constantly accused of ripping off others? I'll tell you who. Cynical businessmen who want to make a lot of money from someone else's success and avoid being sued at the same time. Stop supporting fake bands.

    @AlexLovesCrisps By the way, Oasis may have put a lot of references to the Beatles in their music, but they didn't dress up in Beatles clothes and try to speak and act like the Beatles in their interviews. Their first promotional shots weren't Beatles promotional shots with their heads photoshopped in. Oh, and Oasis never denied listening to the Beatles. Brother denied ever listening to Oasis. Pretty fucking sad if you ask me.

    obviously the people commenting on this video are either american and are upset that brother are not a new 'n-sync', or they simply have no musical taste.

  • @lolsillymadchristian

    @AlexLovesCrisps People are mentioning Oasis because Brother are a manufactured band trying desperately to copy Oasis. They've tried to copy the look, they've tried to copy the attitude, they've tried to copy the manner of speaking and writing. But they've failed and come off looking stupid, because they're fake little tryhards. What part of that do you not understand?

    Judging by how many times you’ve responded to folks about this band, I’m assuming one of them fucked your girl. Your commitment to hating them is sad. I’d like to know what you do for a living? Where can I listen to your stuff? You seem to be such an expert on music. Yawn. They’re not even together anymore but seeing the amount of vitriol you spit is just aggravating. Who the hell are you? Nobody.

    @ewhi1 Stupidest thing I've ever heard. Not a big fan of Brother but I'm struggling to see how Oasis have managed to copyright living in a rough area and supporting a football team? Virtually every band in the world has ripped one and other off. Oasis completely ripped off the Beatles, who cares, they did it in a different way and they sound ok.

    seen em and there a dece band, i dont get thehate . i mean come on they have their influences just like like the beatles had theirs. and as far as attitude goes id rather have a band with an attitude that are into their tunes than a bunch of boring twats or a band that dedicate every song to Africa
