The Thruxton R in ice silver is one of the most beautiful bike on earth at the moment... for a bit less price than the Norton Commando Café Racer.

Your Triumph Dealer did the same mistake as my dealer. The front turn signals are for the Thruxton without the fairing. You need also short ones in the front. That looks quite better!

Hey, can you tell me what guard you used for the xpipe? I have an xpipe I'm waiting to install and I'm looking for a guard to replace the stock one. Awesome vid man, keep it up.

Good vid mate. Audio came out REAL good. V&H DB killer baffle in or out? Either way your exhaust sounds killer man, killer. 🇬🇧🇬🇧

How do the higher bars work with the fairing? I have only seen lower bars in the uk with the fairing fitted I like the idea of having the higher bars for comfort

They work great! I love the feel of the lower clip ons but to be honest I could only do about an hour riding before my wrists started to take the brunt of things. Putting the risers back on allows me to ride practically all day no problem. There was no interference with the fairing and no modifications to any part. It just clears, but no issues. I'm glad I reverted to be honest.

I miss the simple pleasures of having a few days off work. When your retired everyday is a day off so its just not as pleasurable or exciting.

is not retiring an option? not for the money but for the routine. asking for when I'm older.

@@Phyx1u5 Well I retired voluntarily when I was 54 (now 62). I could have stayed until I was 60 but being a police sergeant was so demanding and stressful all the time. I have an underlying condition which causes fatigue and the very frustrating internal politics in the police just wore me down. I am sure my health would be much worse now if I had not retired so you have to do a pro's and con's analysis on retirement before you do it and one of the definite cons is losing the relief and enjoyment of your holidays or "days off".

Did you install this yourself? Did you have to replace any of the header gaskets or in the cross link pipe at the top of the header?

Hi Bart, I actually had my local Triumph dealer install the x-pipe. I had it done at my 500 mile service and he did the software update for the decay/xpipe.

Two Wheel Troubadour I’m either gonna throw on a power commander and auto tune in the near future or try out a booster plug to richen a few things back up. Spending $700 on the power commander option is a bit much for the limited gains the bike will get with power. Basically it’s just gonna smooth out the throttle and make the power curve more linear. My bike already has the triumph Vance and Hines exhaust tune set to the bike. That’s about as close as I can get now. There are some really good threads on Triumphrat where someone put our bike on the dyno with my set up (cone engineering shorties and x pipe) resulting in a 2% leaner mix across the board but well within reasonable air to fuel ratio mixture. I’ll have to assume our bikes are roughly the same. I will say with x pipe and shorty pipes the bike is much meaner sounding and possibly better throttle response down low. All in all things turned out as expected and I’m pleased with the results!
