HPI Savage XS Flux Part 5 (Transmission and Brushless Motor)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Last part of the teardown. This includes the transmission and brushless motor. I also find an issue with the motor and explain a workaround. Next video will show the truck reassembled and finally some sweet running action

Thanks! Ive got some pretty cool new stuff planned for the new year. Going to try to do a video a week. I kind of got discouraged when YT changed their algorithms and my new vids we're getting almost no views but I miss making them.

Hey! I know this video was posted years ago, but was just curious how things turned out using dry Teflon lubricant? I took a look to see if you posted a video about it but I don’t see one. Thanks!

What wheel/ tire combo would you recommend for it? I just destroyed one of mines and want to get something better.

The stock tires off of the 4x4 Rustler work very well. Not the new gravis ones but the old talons.

Its not terribly difficult but there is a pretty steep learning curve in the beginning. Im using Filmora Wondershare right now. Its kind of limited in what it can do but its pretty user friendly and not very expensive.

+TubeSurfer Got lucky on eBay. Same with the new ring gear. I think i got the last ring gear in the country. Do you know why paets are so unavailable?

Hey! I just bought this truck used and it sorry needs maintenance on the gearbox so I’m super happy to find this video! Question for you: what’s the best product and method to clean a really greasy, goopy gearbox? It looks like the previous owner just poured a bucketload of grease inside.

I have another question for you if you do end up replying to this: how did the dry teflon lubricant work out? I'm trying to decide between replacing the grease or going with what you suggest.

@@robshuter4284 I think you replied under my comment so not sure if he gets an alert for that. I didn't use teflon on mine so I can't answer. Side note - I found a place that has the slipper clutch plates if you need those. I just posted it on different Savage Flux vid somebody else did today.

Hey thanks for letting me know, I’ll re-post for the OP. Yes! I desperately need the slipper clutch pads. I’d also like to know the video you found. Questions for you: what do you use as grease in your gearboxes? Do you have that loud chatter/click in the center gearbox when you roll the truck by hand? It seems in my case there is a huge amount of play between the idler gear and the gearbox case.
