Yea, mine came with loose screws and unglued tires. There was no Loctide on the screws of the outdrives. A few screws where locked so tight i just needed to use some bigger tools to loosen them. But after wrenching it drove so nice. I love this truck.

The new Savage runs great. Glad you were able to get in a run before all the rain started coming through. More Savage content please! Steel spur was always loud on these 6S HPI platforms such as the Savage and Vorza.

Yeah, besides the scream, you can tell the slipper is loose since it isn't doing a wheelie on the hit. It definitely needs an adjustment though. Once that slipper is tightened it might wheelie too easily, so possible punch adjustment needed afterwards as well.

The tires grip is awesome and the wheels look spectacular. Just be sure they're glued properly as I've heard of some ppl that they ruined them because of not being glued well.

Even though I'm not getting one, I still wanted to see it run. Thanks for the video and bash bud. Cold day? Uh oh. It's wet over here in south Texas but not cold. To me it sounds like the slipper clutch is not up correctly no?

Looks like a fun basher that can throw out some tricks...seems to control nice in the air.

That was an awesome 1st run! Guessing tighten the slipper and gear up a bit? The XS is amazing but way too expensive now. I turn down the brakes on every rig from the factory.

Gear mesh definitely sounds tight. I just think this wasn't enough of a refresh of the platform. Also, I am having a tough time getting over the price 🤣 Seems like it drives ok 👍

✌🏻😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Looks dope & jumps pretty good too. Sounds like something is in desperate need of something to lubricate whatever is making the horrible screeching noise. Might have been the slipper getting loose over time now that you mention it. Worse ones to me are outrunner motors so at least there’s not one of those horrible sounding motors in there. Those things need to come with free ear plugs or something 😂. Did anything bend, break or strip?

Got the air control but looks under geared on the ground maybe ?

I got two different servos...I want your opinon...and im having issues using HW Programmer

I have one and I really think it needs that center diff and better servo

Certainly not a reflection on you, but that was weak! Look forward to the Associated MT8 release. I’m guessing it will be much better than these, even though I love the way it looks!

The savage is one of the best trucks I’ve ever ran , it’s weak because he had a lose slipper clutch and wasn’t even sending it , needs a bit of set up and savages will rule again.

Is that on 4s or 6s?

This doesn’t have the center diff like xl does it ??

Doesn't seem like there is a lot of room for growth with that thing. Meaning doesn't look like there is a ton of room for a bigger motor or esc

Hpi should have put a centre diff in this for the price.

So my son and I are new to the hobby... I’m can’t figure out what would justify a bashing truck at this price range when you can get two granite or big rocks? Obviously I am new to this, but those trucks seem just as impressive without a slipper clutch that was put in incorrectly out the box....

My slipper did the same...

A slipper clutch on a $765 truck?! How heavy are those tires? The tire grip and rotational force is dependent on how chonker the tires are compared to the rest of the truck. My Stampede 4x4 with Proline Trenchers can do triple backflips off a two foot jump.

Your slipper is WAY loose.

It didn't break. That's already a big improvement from older hpi's.

Older Hpi’s didn’t break. It was the newer ones that did.

Why does it sound like you are randomly punching the throttle? Doesn’t sound very smooth when you constantly are in and off throttle. 💁🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

HPI is total crap.
