On the other hand, there's 2 different variants of almost every base M1, M2 & M3 chip with different core counts. So there's a limit to how much that can fly when even Apple has to provide "distinction" in their own small way.

Lmao, the compile times aren't affected by a 2600M/s SSD. And I say that as a developer of codebases that make Firefox look small. The entirety of the codebase + built objects could probably be transferred around in just 3 seconds. If anything IOPS is more important when it comes to storage for large compilation but any SSD should have more than enough IOPS these days. That's clearly a computational bottleneck. @@MatthewMoniz im still using an IPS ultrawide, and an IPS 1080p as a second monitor from 2012. Great colors and brightness.
1:09 that's still better than surfaces 30w charger 💀

Funny enough Surface Pro still runs faster... Video coming soon
I feel like despite the criticism we give Apple, one thing we can all agree on is that they make the buying process extremely easy and transparent with what configuration and processor option you get. This is something that’s frustrating about PC/chip manufacturers

Yeah, well, you can't name a HP laptop "HP Omnibook Inten Core I9 13980HX Nvidia RTX4070M 64GB DDR5 5400".
Don't blame Microsoft for other companies' apps. I was not able to use some applications on my M1 Pro for the first 3 months, i was on every forum asking developers and company to optimize their app. i didn't blame Apple. three years later, everything works. Let's do the same here.
Why the hell would anyone buy something like this instead of getting a MacBook and using windows on that?
If Qualcomm really wants to take away market share from Intel and AMD, they should release a fanless version. There's literally zero Windows laptop right now that is fanless with decent performance. The last time there was was the Matebook X from Huawei all the way from 2017.
Clearly, Snapdragon cannot compete against Apple M series laptop. It tries to get some market share from ntel and AMD laptop. However, x86 PC ecosystem is just too large and too important. Many legacy and current hardware devices will not have Snapdragon drivers, and many old and useful software will not have Snapdragon version. If the price is $300-500, some will give it try, just like Google Chrome book. For over $1000, over 95% will go with safe and mature x86 or just get Mac. Pretty sure, we will see fire-sale for these laptops with Snapdragon in this year holiday shopping season.
Still do not understand the hype about snapdragon elite because the M chips are better
If and when I am using PCs, CPU and GPU are running with 100% all the time😅😅
It is like in the good old Intel Prescot times, when most of your viewers arent born: It is the multiplicator. Edit: a difference performance on the same SOC is a different issue though.
X Elite 78 is quite weak comparing with 84 or 00...and with the price, meh, not interested. I would rather get AMD or Intel.

Even if you have an 84 or 00 it still comes down to the Power. I have an 80 here and because they're using a 35W charger you lose a lot of performance.
One of the worst options with these cpus.
Just wait till they are coaxed into a corner (Qualcomm) and are forced to compete with the Mac Pro instead of just the Air

There's not really a competition, between Apple and x86 based systems. Most people care about size (not too big, not too heavy), OS (they don't want to switch), battery life (is it "good enough") and so on. They don't care about benchmarks.
Seems like HP isn't really intrested in making a laptop based on the new chipset. They just made one for sake!
I'm just really disappointed in the screen.

It is to keep the price down and higher battery life for marketing.

@@andyH_England yeah I suspect that too. If they bring out a version with a brighter screen, I'd probably buy it. I like oled and high refresh, but I don't absolutely need it. But 300 nits is just abysmal

@@dajotimes Yes, 300 nits are unusable in certain situations. A deal-breaker for most people, I would have thought.
Snapdragon x elite was massively overhyped. Nothing I've seen so far would make me want one. Waiting for Intel and AMD to show what they are offering. Apple, Intel, and AMD are laughing their asses off.
Why do they have to make it very difficult and complicated for consumers? Apple does a better job of naming their processors. I am not a fan of Apple or Windows or Linux, but Intel, AMD and Qualcomm suck at naming their processors.

Most consumers don't care anyway. Those who do, know how to find the information.
HP is an expert of ruining laptops. How about the XPS without the F keys row too? Who on earth would buy that for business or productivity use?
even pavilion plus have better screen.
I would never buy an hp product again everything they e been putting out over the last 10 years had had QC issues - from printers to laptops
I'm going to be honest here and say overwatch is almost unplayable. Those frame drops are super bad in game.
